ON a very cold day of March 2017 I contacted Bluemount with regard to a quote for a home visit to repair a gas furnace. I was told by Gino of your office that the charge was $75. He did not advise me of his hourly rate, tax, etc. I was so happy that I got the lowest possible quote.
Gino attended to fix the furnace and subsequently informed me that the charge would be $150. I questioned this and he said that he was charging an hourly rate of $75 on top of the original quoted rate. He did not use any parts. He spent only 30 minutes in my house and got the furnace running. I asked him for a receipt for the service and he said that the cost for that would be $225 plus tax as he would charge me for 2 hours. I paid him the cash amount of $150 and informed him that I would be making this complaint due to his deceptive quote. Subsequently, the furnace ceased working on 2 days later. I phoned Gino for help, he said to me to call another HVAC and he would not return to fix my furnace. I said, he leaves me no choice but making a complaint against him. Gino said "GOOD LUCK!" then hung up on me and never answered my phone calls.
A subsequent contractor discovered that the furnace was emitting toxic levels of CO and required replacement. This was not checked by the Bluemount Plumbing agent.
I found Gino completely unprofessional, deceptive, dishonest and rude. He was not competent in his work.
Please ask him in advance what are his fees and whether or not he would provide receipt for the work he is going to do for you.
