Blinds To Go

The blinds in 2 of the 4 rooms were completely uneven. In one room, one side rested on the ground and the other was a full inch up. There were vertical crinkles throughout the blinds (like they are bunched in on the bottom and the indents escalate vertically). I asked them to come and re roll the blinds since it seemed they were bunched in and there were also creases in the roll itself (which the installer said should be done) and they declined, saying that my condo floors were just slanted and it was beyond their control.

Purchased 7 blinds from Blinds To Go, expected high end quality vs price. They are cheap and have a plastic pull chain which feels like it will break when pulled. One blind was lost and showed up a month later. Very unprofessional

My cream blinds look very grey at night. Extremely badly fitted No answer to complaints. Had to write a review because nobody answered phone. Could not make an appt to go on then Now too late to complain about bad fitting and grey colour. They should have known this and told me. No knowledge of product. My 92 yr mother too upset and fed up to complain anymore.

We would like to give more than 10 stars. Been dealing with them since 1990. Now on our 3rd house. The service and quality impeccable. I hope they dont change. Good continuation from Mason st. Montreal. The owners are down to earth. We will keep on using their service and promoting. Always up to date style.

Do not waste your time. The sales are not worth the wait and terrible customer service. I have never worked so hard to give a business my money. Getting a response is nearly impossible unless you threaten with contacting head office or BBB. I was given a quote and followed up immediately to accept it. I heard nothing for two weeks and did not hear back until I started calling nearly every day. I still do not have my blinds (Sept 30th) and the order will likely not be even ready for installation until October 30th. I agreed to the quote on August 12th. The order was placed late, and they do not address questions when asked. Unless you want to wait and wait and wait, find another business. They also mistyped the dimensions and tried to charge me for the mistake. Here's hoping there are not issues with the actual blinds or installation but at this point, I would not be shocked.

Absolutely the worse customer service ever at the Scarborough/Kennedy location. If it were possible to score minus zero, it is what I would have given.
I challenged the final invoice for balance due. They claim there was an cost increase. Initially when I placed the order in person I was advised there could be a possible increase or decrease in the cost.
I went in person a second time to discuss my order and was advised there was an increase. No surprise there. I of course was not pleased but with reservations, I did pay the increase.
The sales rep. Tatiana was most helpful, displayed patience, kind and above all professional. She advised me how I could cut my cost down by not adding the valance. The extra cost for the valance was not explained in the original order. By opting out, it helped cut the cost.
Earlier this week I received an invoice requesting final payment as my order was ready for installation.
I called BTG today wanting an explanation why a second increase when I had already paid for the increase. After being out on hold a few times,
the rep agreed to give me a $20.00 coupon? I asked why only $20.00 when the increase was $40.89.
The agent was seeking advice from one of her co-workers who then came on the line. By this time I was totally frustrated. After spending several minutes on this call, I did not wish to continue this conversation.
In the end, I was "honored" $40.00 discount however this did not compensate for the poor customer relations. One should not have to "beg" for a price adjustment. It should have been given with a sincere apology instead of making you feel they've done you a favour.
I would not recommend this company.

1st order: 16K installed by them - issues in product & installation.
2nd order: 6K installed by them - issues in products & installation.
3rd order: 6K disaster 4 blinds they made by mistake and want to blame me and refuse to fix, they want me to re purchase. outrageous and extremely bad customer service.

The BTG staff and contractors are nice, but unfortunately I cannot recommend this company due to (1) the numerous problems with my order, and (2) it has been 6 months and I am still waiting for my order to be fixed.

I ordered my blinds in mid-August 2021 and as of mid-January 2022, I am still waiting for 3 blinds that had to be reordered because they were too long. One of the locking mechanisms is also already broken.

1) Installation attempt #1: 1 blind was the wrong material. 3 blinds had the wrong brackets and could not be installed. 1 blind missing entirely.

2) Installation attempt #2: 3 blinds were too long. The contractor re-measured and reordered them, but I am still waiting for these to be located by the store and installed as of Jan 2022. 1 blind was completely the wrong width.

3) Installation attempt #3: 3 blinds missing. The contractor had gone to the store to pick them up but the store could not locate them.

4) Installation attempt #4: BTG decided to unilaterally reschedule another installation for Christmas eve, 2-8pm. I phoned back and asked for this to be moved.

5) Jan 2022 - installation attempt #5: Once again, the store could not locate the 3 remaining blinds.

In the mean time, one of the locking mechanisms on one of the blinds has already broken after a few months of use.

I wish I had used another service or just bought standard-sized blinds off-the-shelf, and saved myself all the hassle and headache.

Ordered blinds sep 5 2020, its now November and I still don't have my blinds. I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THEM AGAIN. I have ordered from them before and the quality is not good either.

As a previous purchaser of blinds from this company, I thought I would purchase California Shutters from them this time. BIG MISTAKE. Although they claim that these are custom made, apparently only the external dimensions are customised and the quality is poor. The blinds were designed to have a thick bar across the middle of my window even though there was an obvious place for the cross bar and the previous shutters, which were there when they measured, were done properly. Looks awful but that's not all. They arrived with a broken louvre which required another installer visit. The hinges do not fully open which means that you really have to have the shutters covering the windows at all times. They partially open to allow cleaning but you can't really leave them open. On top of all of this, the rods which control the shutters appear to be plastic which was just snapped off - not finished, rough to the touch and clearly visible. These shutters were around the same price as competitors but in the end are of much lower quality. If I had not already thrown out the original shutters I probably would have just reinstalled them since the new ones look much worse and have made my kitchen reno look cheap. They are ok for simple blinds but shutters seem to be beyond their capabilities.
