It’s unfortunate that you feel that you were overpriced for our services rendered, however, I can confidently assure you that you received top quality service and product from a licenced plumber at fair market value.
Our plumber was dispatched to your home on Wednesday January 10th 2018 due to you advising our office that water suddenly stopped coming out of your kitchen faucet and that the water pressure for your shower was low. Our plumber diagnosed each and every issue that you had reported to our office and he determined that your kitchen faucet was in need of replacement due to it being old and that your shower faucet required a cartridge replacement as there was not enough water pressure coming out of the shower. Our plumber then called our office to verify the cost to supply and install a brand new Moen single lever kitchen faucet which was quoted to and then approved by your mother on site. Upon completion of our work, our service report was signed and agreed to for the amount of $398.00 + HST which included all materials and labour to complete the work. As for the water pressure that was low in the shower my plumber advised your mother that a return visit was required as these parts were not accessible and had to be ordered from a plumbing supplier to which you declined a return visit to have the issue rectified.
When you initially called our company to set up an appointment for plumbing services we had notified you over the phone that it is our company policy for our customers to provide a credit card number over the phone prior to booking an appointment and that your credit card would not be charged until services were completed by our company to your satisfaction. So therefore it is misleading to advise the public that we require two hours of a service call paid upfront. That is never the case. What we do advise our customers of is that we do have a minimum charge of a two hour service call, which you agreed to and felt was fair. Also, when advising the public of the amount that you were charged for our services rendered, it is only fair to be accurate in reporting that you were charged $398.00 by our company. The remainder of the money that you paid was for tax which is not money that we can claim as income as that portion of the money collected from you is paid to the CRA.
Finally, your review did not mention anything regarding our efficient services being provided to you nor about our plumber’s professional workmanship. We figure since you did not take the time to mention anything negative about those aspects of your experience in having dealt with our company, all of those important aspects were to your satisfaction. Your review is solely based on feeling that you were overpriced for a price that you agreed to upfront. Once one factors in the cost of the faucet, parts used to connect the new faucet, labour and other hidden expenses incurred in which to provide our services to you such as the cost of our vehicle, fuel and so on, you received fair market value for your dollar.
The services delivered to you by Bartman Plumbing Ltd were quick, prompt, efficient and professional from the time that you had placed the service call until the end of our work at your home.
