I used Andy and his crew for a home renovation and was thoroughly disappointed.
The price was reasonable, but it wasn't long before I found out that the trades that he sub-contracted were garbage and he didn't employ any licensed tradesmen. Everything that his employees and the sub-contracts touched was done improperly with the cheapest materials he could get his hands on. We have had to invest several thousand more dollars to repair the work done by his crew. When he was advised of the issues after the reno was complete, he repeatedly said he would come by, and after several calls, he never came.
If you are considering hiring him, at the very least ensure all his workers are licensed in their respsective trades, and that they are using the materials that are reasonable for the price you are paying. Get permits even if you are told that that process will slow things down. That is the only way the work of his team will be inspected. Ensure you set the ground rules ie. timelines, payment schedule, and if any additional issues are found when the reno is occurring, you are to be notified so that a decision can be made how to proceed with any additional repairs.
Don't give an inch...being nice about the small issues/things with your reno will only lead bigger issues down the road.
