Basement Renovation review in

Wanted to complete our unfinished basement and called 5 contractors from advertising in the Toronto Star. Four contractors came in and gave quotes. Our mistake was going with the cheapest. The timeline was 30 days or less for completion and 50% payment starting and the other 50% when finished. The first 3 days work was being done properly and some of the materials were in the basement. On the fourth day the contractor wanted more money.
