Despite what the back of the truck says the employees of Junk Two Go would prefer if you didn't show them your "junk", and it definitely wont get you a discount.
We had a lot of random mess left over from the renovations we made to our basement. I heard about 1-877-JUNK-TWO GO from a friend of mine and decided to try them out.
I was very happy with the fast and friendly service. They arrived on time, gave me a quote up front and were able to get my basement clear of clutter.
Enjoying my new basement bar!
Over the phone the price was great. Once they allowed the rain to soak the contents, they charged almost twice for what it would have been with the quote. They charge a damage fee to their bin and plan never to give it back. Not a good experience and will not use them ever again
Worst experience ever. They charged more than double. Wrecked walls. Left a mess. Sheldon was the worker and I could not get any satisfaction from the guy who answers the phone. No record of their "parent" company. They are rip off artists. Run as fast as you can.
I had the same experience as the review from Nivan. Some times the guys name is Sheldon Cook, Tyler, or John more commonly these days. John quoted me $385 minimum or $450 maximum including all costs and including HST. I provided him with a list of all items that needed to be removed and told him the branches were the main reason for the service request. The card board boxes I could have had the city take. John/Sheldon showed up at the site himself removed the boxes and left the renovation material and the branches on the driveway. He than called me to let me know the price has gone up to $950. This company run by Sheldon is based on not telling the truth to customers and overcharge them to grab more cash. Sheldon is a professional at this money grab routine as he's done it many times.
JUNK-TWO-GO POURED THE ENTIRE CONTENTS OF MY RENTAL BIN ONTO MY DRIVEWAY AND ONTO OUR SERVICE ROAD FRONTING THE RIVER - THEN DROVE AWAY!
YOU COULD BE THE NEXT VICTIM!
I had the last load of construction debris, MAINLY wood to be cleared out of my home that I am renovating. MODERN did not have a bin available at the required time. I went to KIJIJI and found a company called Junk Two Go. I called them. A man by the name of Tyler answered, he was very courteous. He told me a bunch of numbers. I said, just give me the final figure. He said $325 for a 14 cu. ft bin for 5 days. I agreed and asked if he accepted cash. He said Yes.
The next morning I received a phone call from a "Project manager" for JUNK TWO GO by the name of SHELDON. He said he was on his way to deliver the bin. He went on to ask whether someone would be on site. I cancelled a meeting to meet Sheldon from JUNK TWO GO so I could pay him. I asked if the $325 included HST. He said "$325"? Its total $395 cash and a $250 deposit for renting the bin. I was a bit alarmed at the discrepency of information from one day to the next. Anyway, I said I would not pay a deposit of $250 and that I would just wait until MODERN could deliver. He then went on to say that he would NOT take a deposit from me and that he had already started his journey from Hamilton to Niagara.
As alarmed as I was of the price change, I still agreed to accept delivery of the bin.
I received delivery of the bin on Wednesday, Dec. 01, 2010 at 4:30pm. Paid the gentleman known as Sheldon CASH amounting in the total $395.00. I asked for a receipt and Sheldon told me upon pick up of the bin, I'd be given a receipt. Again, I was alarmed at the fact that he would not document my cash payment of $395 with no balance owing.
I came home at about 5pm that evening and called the company. Tyler answered and I told him I had just taken delivery of the rental bin. I told him I had paid $395 cash and was not given a receipt. Tyler said "hey, ya, I just delivered the bin to you, everything is alright..." I said "but, Sheldon just delivered the bin to me..."
Tyler said, "yes, I am Sheldon, it is my middle name! I am the OWNER OF THE COMPANY AND YOU HAVE NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT"
TYLER SHELDON (last name i do not know)
Friday Morning, Dec 03, 2010 rolls around, and I receive a call from TYLER SHELDON asking whether I was finished with the bin. $395 paid for a bin rental only to be hurried to finish my 5 day rental. ALARMING!!!!!
He furthers the conversation by stating he does not do pick ups on Sunday and that I would have to pay an extra $20/day. ALARMING!!!!!
Monday, Dec 06, 2010 rolls around (THIS MORNING) and he is onsite to pick up the bin. My guys were there over the weekend doing the clean up. We did not need the bin anymore. "TAKE IT AWAY" I said.
TYLER, SHELDON, whoever was there to pick it up said well, you owe me $250.00. CONFUSED, I asked why? He said, there is some metal and non wood products in the bin. (garbage bags filled with stripped cork flooring) I said, well, I'll send someone out there to pull it out if its going to cost me $250.
Because, that is a lot of money to have a piece of metal disposed of (metal was attached to a piece of wood from a door frame. It was actaually a CORNER BEAD with a little drywall behind it.
He said I had to come pay $250.00 right now OR ELSE...
Well, the "OR ELSE" is in the photos below. The 14 cu.ft BIN was filled
to the top with wood and cork flooring inside the garbage bags. SHELDON POURED THE ENTIRE BINS CONTENTS ONTO MY DRIVEWAY AND ONTO OUR SERVICE ROAD FRONTING THE NIAGARA RIVER.
This is the result of hiring SHEER SHADINESS.
E-mail me any comments or similar experiences you've had with Sheldon, Tyler or anyone else...
I am beyond pleased with the services my company received from "Junk Two Go". They responded to my request right away and proceeded to complete the job with no problems, hassles or excuses. I was very impressed with how quickly they gathered all of the items and discarded them with little supervision. They were very professional to deal with and I will definitely be using "Junk Two Go" for ALL of my future business' needs!!!

They are soooo expensive that I could not believe it. Over the phone everything looked good and reasonable price but after they came it was totally another story...I'm still angry about it...
