We contracted them to do several plumbing projects around the house as well as repair the plumbing in the bath. Our tub was leaking though the ceiling into our kitchen. When they estimated the job, they pointed out what they thought the problem was and told my husband they would have to open up the ceiling and work on the pipes. They didn't show up the first time they were supposed to come and didn't call. After some prodding they came back out, this time different workers. They replaced one toilet, repaired a second, fixed a leaking shower head (which now spurts off to the side in one area like a water fountain), repaired a handle that wouldn't turn by just twisting it as hard as they could (we now have water collecting under the sink, I don't know if it is related) - and told us they could no longer see a problem with the tub.
I was told the price, which I paid and sent them on their way. I spoke to my husband shortly thereafter and discovered they had STILL CHARGED for the tub / leak repair even though they did nothing but peer into the plumbing closet.
My husband spoke with the owner who claimed he was going to refund $350 for work not done. This was last summer. We are still waiting for a check! We keep calling, they keep promising.
HMR was a good, reasonably priced company that we used previously and recommended but apparently they have merged with Kramer plumbing. I assume that is when the problems must have begun?
