Blue Army Handyman Services

I just moved to Washington, DC and bought a home with all original painting, but I quickly got bored of it. I started looking around for different companies that would be willing to do all my interior painting. Blue Army Handymen sent someone out to give a free same-day estimate, and they worked with me on colors for each room. They gave me a fairly reasonable price and completion date the project would be finished. I was impressed they worked so diligently and finished 2 days earlier than expected. Well done Blue Army Handyman team. You can now view me as a loyal customer.

This company is a scam. Pure and simple. He took our materials, agreed to fix them, called back with an astronomical figure and when we said we wanted our materials back, he told us he had thrown them in the trash! $12,000 worth of materials! We'll see him in court. Beware!

Horrible horible service. After 2 years, we had to replace the roof on the small addition he did. The new contractor said that the materials used were the worst possible ones for a flat roof. Never even bothered to apply for permit for garage, took off with our deposit and will not return calls. Make sure you look at all his reviews. The "good" reviews are lifted word for word from the web site. The bad reviews, however, are all different....they are from real people. I'm poorer and wiser.

The thing that impressed us most about Blue Army Handyman Services was the "can do" attitude. We have used them twice over the past year. After finding not one single company willing to take on our two separate roofing problems, not only was Blue Army willing and able, but they did an excellent job in a short amount of time. Blue Army stands by their slogan, "Doing it Right, Getting it Done."

The Blue Army motto is "getting it done, doing it right." In fact, neither is the case. This firm promised us a deck built to Fairfax County Code. The result is a deck that it so unsafe, it is being torn down. We have photos (one attached here). He (William F. Angolia) deceived us about materials he planned to use. He deceived us about having the license necessary for the job. The bathroom plumbing is so bad the new tile is coming off too so that proper pipes and fittings can be installed. His electrician did not understand basic wiring or Code standards either.

Every project was marked by deception and incompetence. When confronted with the deck compliance issues, he walked off the job on the spot. Now we are hiring new contractors and have to fix his errors and damage while we try to move forward.

And, he has refused to refund ONE DIME.

This is the classic bad contractor. Every stereotype. We screwed up in hiring him. Please do not repeat our mistake.

I wanted to write to send a HEARTFELT THANKS for allowing your team to come to my home for repairs last weekend on such short notice. I feel incredibly blessed for your help and thoughtfulness.

Not only did you repair my ceiling, but also a rotting wood beam and plugged gutters in the front of my home; needed repairs on my fence and gate in the backyard, including assembly of a bed for my son. I would have been unable to do myself.

I feel incredibly blessed, and again thank you for your provision and help. This was such a light in my life given the darkness and worries I have been facing in the last year.

A tree had fallen on our home late in the evening causing substantial damage to our roof and water damaged to the interior. William’s team responded quickly and in a professional manner. They removed the tree from our roof that evening and installed protection preventing further damage. They where extraordinary! The project was completed within the 3 weeks timeframe and on budget.

TOTAL CON JOB completely agree with the comments on the"disaster" posting. the owner, William, is uprofessional, purposely intimidating. Prices were highest around based on quality and warranty, although the work was clearly "c" team. Invoice inconsistant with work performed. I've also noticed the owner posts positive reviews on the web of his own business.
