Please note: She is now trying to extort us by demanding $500 to remove these lies.
She wanted to have the piece shipped so she saves on taxes. The piece was already framed and I based the shipping on that size.
She said if she decides to frame the piece she would end up keeping it.
The new frame caused the shipping fee to go from $200 to $800 and finally after shopping different shippers got it down to $419.23.
Michelle, is one of those people that treats others like servants, takes advantage of their generosity and then defames them. We have been in business since 1994 and we never had such an issue with a client. We are not shippers, storage place, nor framers but still tried to squeeze us to the point of financial loss and many hours that we took off our schedule accommodate her demands.
Please see out letter to her.Michelle,
I did all that I can or am willing to do for you. You are ungrateful, disrespectful and defamatory to me and my business and you still want me to do even more favors for you. Michelle, we stored the piece for you for over six months at no charge, we did not charge you tax, I personally delivered your piece at the framer, I even had the framer extend my wholesale price, we paid for the packaging $213.44 to have it shipped (Box brothers did not want to use), I then hand delivered the piece to your shipper, had the shipper reduce the fees from $800 to $419.00 and gave you the art at wholesale. You told us at the show that if you frame the art you will keep it instead of shipping it. I went above and beyond my call of duty to meet all your demands but apparently that is an impossible task.
I am away on a business trip but if you chose not to pick the art then I shall make arrangement by a gallerist to pick it up and resell it. Otherwise, please pay your outstanding balance to David at Box Brothers of $419.12 or pick it up yourself. Last, I really did so much to help you but obviously "No Good Deeds goes Unpunished".
All the best,
