Road Runner Restoration

We went on vacation 7/4/08. Sometime after that, our upstairs toilet broke, flooding the house. Almost two weeks later, we learned that a neighbor had turned the water off. Our insurance co. brought Roadrunner Restoration CEO and representatives to our house, introducing them as Preferred Providers. We hired them, and the nightmare began. They promised to have our house finished by 11/31/08. It was not. We had to move back into an unfinished house and have been camping out there ever since, with our mattress on the floor. It is now 7/28/09, and Roadrunner Management has most recently extorted $35K from us, threatening to "have our lawyer file suit and ruin you financially," if we didn't give him the money. We managed to get back $10K of that money, but they retained $25K. They have got NO City Building Permits, and left behind code violations and fire hazards. Their employees have caused much damage to our furniture and possessions through poor handling. Their repair people have done a shoddy job that will require much effort and money to fix. They currently have most of our furniture, jewelry, oil paintings and are holding them "hostage" for more money. They have lost much of our possessions, including sensitive personal papers and tax documents. They have delivered to us possessions, personal papers and tax documents, psychiatric drugs, Dr. reports, etc., from as many as 5 other customers. At the hands of these thugs, we have suffered intimidation, threats, extortion, shoddy workmanship, and lack of professionalism for over a year. They have not left us enough money from the insurance checks to repair the damage that they have done to our home, much less the damage and replacement of our possessions.
