Queen Mattress

PLEASE READ BEFORE BUYING A MATTRESS FROM SALS FURNITURE GALLERY!!!

My husband and I purchased a mattress from Sals Furniture Gallery in June of 2012. About 6 months later my husbands side of the mattress was sunk in and needed to be replaced. Because we had a 10 year warrantee I called and spoke with Fred to have it replaced. He told me he would send some of his men out to look at it. They never showed. After 1 week of calling almost everyday I was finally able to get Fred to agree to come out to look at it.... He never did. Instead, he called and told me he was just going to send a new mattress out. I happily accepted and thought it was over. Between having the mattress replaced and now the replacement mattress has sunk in again on my husbands side. I called again to have it replaced because the 10 year warrantee is still valid. The first phone call Fred said "ok, can I call you back", that was the last I heard from him for about 1.5 weeks. I finally got in contact with Fres and he sent out 2 men who checked the mattress and told me Fred would give me a call in a couple days. Couple days my eye, another week went by with me calling and calling. When I finally reached Fred he tells me that the problem isn't with the mattress it's with the box spring. I told him that the mattress was sunk in and he told me that because they didn't say that that was a problem the wouldn't be able to replace it. He then proceeds to tell me that its an entry level mattress and that I should just replace it with an upgrade. After explaining that 1. A mattress, entry level or not, is designed to hold people up and 2. I shouldn't have to pay extra money for a defective mattress, I asked that the mattress be looked at again and Fred told me he would come to look at it himself. Fred came, did a few measurements, took some pictures and told me that the dip was not large enough and that the manufacturer would most likely not be replacing it but that he would call me. 2+ weeks went by with me calling and calling (there's no voicemail setup by the way). I finally got through only for Fred to tell me that the dip was not large enough and even if it was they wouldn't replace it because there were 2 stains on the mattress and the warrantee does not cover stains or rips. I informed Fred that on my receipt it only states that I have a 10 year warrantee and that I never got any documents stating was was covered and what was not covered. He proceeds to tell me that he has the pamphlets and could give me one. I told him that does me absolutely no good whatsoever to have pamphlets after the fact. He then offered me the contact information for the manufacturer, which I accepted. I asked when he would be replacing the box spring and his response was ASAP..... I have been waiting for over 2 weeks to hear from them and to have it replaced and he said ASAP. I had to tell him that he made absolutely no sense at all and told him that I would like the mattress delivered the next day, he agreed. I did let him know that I would be calling the better business bureau and call 12 for action. I then called the manufacturer who tried to tell me that the warrantee was printed on the side of the mattress, with her on the phone I read every tag on the mattress and there was nothing there about a warrentee. She then tells me all I can do is to go directly to the store to get the warrentee pamphlet to see for myself what's covered and what's not. She also tells me that I am not her customer but that Sals Furniture Gallery is. I will be following through with filing reports and may even take this to small claims court.

I don't think they quite understand that by realizing that the box spring is defective and the cause of the mattress being sunk in they have admitted that the mattress IS defective!! And just like the box spring, it needs to be replaced.

I don't know about their other furniture items, but I DO NOT reccomend buying any kind of mattress from Sals Furniture Gallery. I am highly upset and when this is all over I will never purchase from them again.
