Viking Stove Repair

DO NOT CALL THIS COMPANY. I contacted ALL SOURCE APPLIANCES in July 2008 to repair my Viking stove. It was at this time that an Ahmed, a contractor arrived at my home, late and outside of the 2- hour window, which we agreed upon. It was a stormy, messy day out and I asked Ahmed to remove his shoes before coming into my home. He ignored me, and then proceeded to walk right through my living room with his muddy boots. When I asked him again to remove the shoes, he said “why? My shoes are not dirty”. Ahmed spent over an hour in my kitchen; most of the time he was on the phone speaking to someone at his main office. He spoke in Hindi, so I could not understand what he was saying. After a marathon phone call, he hung up and proceeded to tell me that I needed a new gas regulator. It would be two weeks before the part would arrive but I was told to pay up in advance. I gave him $400 bucks for the new regulator and he was on his way. Ahmed came back two weeks later and installed the new part. Later that week, I discovered the part did not resolve the issue that I was having. Here begins my frustrating journey to get them back out to look at the stove again. After COUNTLESS calls to the company and countless conversations with Lee (the owner of the company!), I have been unsuccessful at getting them to come back and stand by their work. The owner, Lee is completely unresponsive. When I do get him on the phone, he acts as if he doesn’t know who I am or why I am calling. He makes false promises so he can get off the phone with me. His contractors are completely incompetent and do not have the slightest clue how to repair anything. They obviously make calls to the office and someone on the other end tells them how to diagnose a problem. I am completely livid and from the looks of this situation, I may have to eat the $400. I just hope by sharing my experience, I can save someone else from having to deal with this company.
