The carpet/tile install went fine. Long story short, I had decided to carpet an upstairs hallway at the last minute and wife called to find out if there would be enough left over carpet to do so. We were assured that there would not be so we went ahead and ordered additional carpet for the said hallway at an additional cost of approx. $400. When the installer came to begin carpet installation, he told us we had plenty left over to do the hallway and said he didn't know why they would have told us we didn't. After telling us a few other things, he was afraid of losing his job for doing so. Joe Rode(owner) instructed the installer to cut the carpet up in a way that would have insured we did not have enough to do the hallway and told the installer that if he told us this that he would eat the cost of the additional carpet and I quote "I will take it out of your ass". We promised the installer we would not let Joe know he shared all of this information with us or show Joe the piece of carpet that the installer in fact did not cut up against orders so he would not lose his job. Joe Rode came to our home to inspect the job and continued to be dishonest us about the amount of carpet that was needed for the hallway just to make more money. We instructed Joe that we would not be paying for the additional carpet that we were instructed we needed and we did not appreciate his dishonesty. He stuck to his story even though I had the piece out in the garage that would have done the job. I told him I no longer wanted him or his company to finish the job and I would handle it myself. Joe Rode is dishonest and rude and puts profits before repeat business as this is the second time I used his company. I would advise anyone who is considering using this company to steer clear as you will never know if you are being ripped off. We only knew because the installer was honest enough to give us the full story when the ownership was trying to screw us.
