Nightmare contracting Experience
Hired Evan of Veracity Inc to do a permitted small basement apartment (around 500sq ft) reno the existing kitchen, and cover a bar to laundry powder room. Permits acquired, contractor didn't adhere to said permits, shoddy workmanship and need to rip out and redo to meet code as per city inspectors. Major damages to my property, paid about 85% of our contract and he abandoned us demanding more payment and agreement to do significantly less work than contracted (both less work and significantly higher costs). Left our house with $200000 of my mom retirement savings, we don't have one functioning kitchen, no vanity/Sink in powder room or even doors in the apartment. Vexatious told the subs not to repair/completecwork unless we pay his ransom.
