I purchased a heat pump through Smartcare home services in September 2023. I completed the paperwork and home energy audit in order to qualify for the government rebate.
1- The Heatpump installed was different than the quoted one and this was the first issue!
2- Then after the installation, it happened that it stopped working at one night and despite the repeated calls to their customer services and maintenance, nobody shows up to fix the problem and we spent 2 nights without any source of heating!
3- they sent someone with a dap sealant to air sealing the doors/windows to be qualified to the Air Sealing rebate and when you told them that this is not enough, they claimed that they know what they are doing. It seems that I was right and the Air Sealing rebate was not approved and I did not get the rebate.
4- I am trying to communicate with them know to fix the problem and to check the Heat Pump but they are ignoring my calls and emails.
5- This company was very quick to install the equipment but lacks in customer service follow up and/or maintenance services. Even the installation was not done properly and they have unnecessary long ducts which affects the heat pump efficiency.
I had planned on installing further energy upgrades to my home, but I would not consider using Smartcare now for any of this work. I regret dealing with this company and would never recommend them.

This was a protection plan that my parents had on their a/c and Furnace . The house was sold and so I needed to cancel this plan.
I spoke with Dylene and literally within minutes it was taken care of ....It was a pleasure to speak to Dylene ...I was so grateful to have this taken care of within minutes, more than I can say about other companies I have had to deal with .

The new heat pump along with the gas furnace is not being controlled properly and they won't come out to fix it. So what is the problem... We were away for much of the winter and had the heat in the house set to 12 DegC. Having a smart thermostat I could monitor the heat and when it was cold outside I noticed the temperature in the house was swinging from 12 Deg to 25 Deg and that was when it was really cold outside in early January. When milder it was holding at 12 Deg. We are now home and it is random whether the heat pump or the gas furnace will do the heating. Usually when the gas furnace is heating it will not shut off when the desired temperature is reached.
I have called the service department many times and sometimes I get to talk to Lucas but although they know there is a problem they will not send someone round to fix it. Basically the thermostat is not communication accurately with the heating system.
Would I use this company again, NO DEFINATELY NOT!

I have enrolled in Heating and air conditioning Protection plan with Smartcare Home services for about 4 years by now and the money is taken from my account every month.
When I called for help, the receptionist told me that my name is not in the customer list and she said someone from the billing department would call me back but it has been more than a month now and my issue is not resolved. I am wondering if they are still in service.

I had my old A/C replaced this summer by Smartcare Home Services. They did a great job and were extremely helpful. I didn't know much about A/C's and which ones were good but the rep was very knowledgeable and guided me in the right direction. Our house was perfectly cooled all summer. Thank you Smartcare !

Great company to work with. They've replaced the furnaces for my rental properties and the water heaters to 2 of the same properties. The rep was super helpful from the minute he answered the phone until after the installations were completed.

These guys are great, their techs and consultants are super professional and knoqleknowled. I got my water heater upgraded to a tankless with them and I'm glad I did. Even after the installation when I had questions they still took the time to answer.

My mother needed a new water heater and furnace. This company came by and was able to cater to her budget and get her a new furnace as well as upgrade her water heater to a tankless water heater promptly without any inconveniences. They helped her register and qualify for the rebates so she will be getting money back to help her offset the upfront costs for her.

My water tank started leaking and I found this company on a search. I called them and they were able to send someone out right away. I got my conventional water tank upgraded to a high efficiency tankless system. I also ended up changing my furnace and qualifying for the rebates. The advisor and technician were very courteous and professional!

My wife found this company to change our furnace. Winter is coming and we wanted to get a new one before it got too cold. The whole process was completed in less than 2 days. They were able to connect us to the auditing company and have them come in before the installation date. Despite it being last minute, we were still able to qualify for rebates.
