After hearing what I believed to be squirrels or roofrats in my home, I knew I had to hire a professional to take a look

Although several Pest control companies have good reviews an Homestars. I hired SWAT based on their ethical/ environmental concerns for the wildlife that they deal with. Derrick and Eric of SWAT offered prompt , friendly and efficient service. SWAT came to my home within 30 hours of my contacting them at a time of my choosing and after inspecting my roof and checking my attic ,Eric assured me that what I was hearing was most likely a nest of birds in the eaves trough at the front of my house.

What impressed me most was how quickly they returned my call and how they took the time to listen to my concerns before I even hired them. Thanks SWAT !

Our home in Toronto is apparently "racoon heaven" complete with an extensive roof top garden and decking.

Since moving in two years ago, we have had racoon traffic, growling and vicious fights right outside of our bedroom window which faces onto the rooftop garden. In addition, we have had considerable damage to our ceiling in one part of the house.

After several trial and error experiences with other companies and methods, we met with Derick and his team from SWAT Wildlife. They clearly explained their approach, the costs and the one-year guarantee for their work.

They located the racoon access points and sealed them off with wire meshing. It worked perfectly for a few weeks until the racoons ate and clawed their way through another part of the deck to get to where they wanted to live.

Derick and his team made at least 10 additional visits to address the problem. Despited our offers to pay them extra for all of the trips last summer, they politely declined citing their guarantee...along with a professional determination not to be beaten by the racoons.

It worked until this year when the racoons "burrowed" through the dirt in one of the planters to regain access. This time Derick sealed of the entire space with wire. Once we knew the racoons were out of the space, He sealed it off further...during a rainstorm. We insisted on paying for his materials as the guarantee had expired months ago.

It seems to have been the perfect solution. They did what they said they would do, when they said they would do it and within the stated price.

And, they're attitudnally perfect. We would give them a higher score if there was one.

I am the Property Manager of a townhouse complex in Pickering. An owner had a bat flying around in their unit and was quite hysterical about the situation. She went through the phone book and contacted a company that increased her hysteria and their fee to do the work was exhorbitant and unnecessary and mentioned to her that all other units in the townhouse complex should be inspected as well, causing the owner to go door to door creating an atmosphere of anxiety. I called S.W.A.T. and was instantly reassured that they would handle the problem with the utmost professionalism and experience. The appointment was made immediately, the work was done for half the price and the owner was completely satisfied with the results. I would recommend S.W.A.T. over any other company on the market.

SWAT Wildlife exceeded my service expectations! The job was done professionally, cost effectively and on a timely basis. Derick was very helpful and went above the call of duty with this wildlife removal. He addressed all my questions and helped to ensure my house was protected against further racoon damage. I would highly recommend this company for any wildlife removal and I would definitely use this company again in the future.

We had a family of skunks that moved in to live under our cabana in the back yard. I called up Derick and he was very pleasant and polite. He quoted me a cost and said they would be there at a certain time and date and he was very prompt. He showed up with Eric who helped get rid of the varmits. Within 3 hours they had trenched around the cabana inserted the high gauge strong wiring fence and covered the fencing back up with the dirt and stone that was there prior. The job was done quickly, neatly and professionally. Not only were they the most reasonably priced, but you got more than what we paid for we felt. Good work guys! I called SwatWildlife and got a very personable lady on the phone that assured me Swat was a totally humane company (that was of the utmost importance to us). I was given an appointment for the next day, which was sooner than I expected.Our problem was with racoons in our chimney, the technician was very knowledgeable and immediately went to work to solve our problem. We were most impressed that he explained how to prevent future destruction and by SwatWildlife taking care of these areas in advance we have had no futher problems.
I certainly would recommend this company, in all areas right from the initial phone conversation until the job was completed, they were very professional.

My kids and I noticed a smell and noises coming from under our deck a couple of weeks ago and sure enough it turned out to be a family of SKUNKS! We went looking online for a company that humanely removes wildlife like skunks and raccoons and of course found many. The reasons I chose SWAT was a) because I loved their website, extremely informative and b) the lady I spoke with on the phone, Karla was absolutely terrific, she gave me so much information about the process of removing the animals, who would be coming, how long it could take etc all with a very friendly tone and that made me feel comfortable with going with them...they were not the first company I called either, I called three others as well. The reason that I'm writing this review is because SWAT came to my home , removed the skunks, screened our deck, they were friendly, affordable, really great with my kids who were very interested and curious about the whole thing and I would use them again in a heartbeat, no question.

Dereck with Swat Wildlife came to my home in Ajax all the way from downtown Toronto. He was extremely nice, friendly and did an amazing job making my house 'squirrel proof' -in particular our attic which served as a makeshift home for squirrels -they were a total nuisance that we couldn't get rid of!
I recommend SWAT highly as I found them reliable (they came at the exact time they said they would which respects my time) and they made me feel very secure about not having a squirrel problem again!
I have used other services and SWAT is -by far- the most professional, honest and reliable service to date.
I rarely write reviews but because of how exceptional the service was I just had to give this company a 'shout out' :)

Not bad but I wouldn't say great. To be fair I think SWAT is getting busy so this job was not done by Derrick himself but rather subcontracted out to the raccoon guys. They did a through examination and gave me some cost saving tips such as getting my own trap rather than renting. However a squirrel was actually in our attic at the time and I had to keep asking them about next steps to deal with that immediate issue as they were more concerned about fixing any entry spots. When they couldn't find any on our unit and since I still needed to get permission from the neighboors on our row, the only thing they suggested was screening in the chimmney at about $400. I was left with a squirrel in our attic and a $100 charge for them coming out. When I had another company come in, they confimed that there were cobwebs in our chimmney and that it was not likely an entry point and ended up finding an entry area that the raccoon guys had missed. If you are using SWAT in the future, check to make sure they aren't using subcontractors. Also, the company forgot to remind me that they won't go on your ajoining neighboors house (if you are in a semi or in a row) without their express permission which makes sense and is logical but it would have been a good reminder to have so I could have had time to co-ordinate. Definately not the first thing you think of when you are dealing with an intense squirrel infestation and just want them out asap...As an FYI in doing further reseach, trapping in dense urban areas is pretty useless as the squirrels from other neighboorhoods quickly move over.

Derick came early for our appointment and was very efficient in extracting three baby raccoons and their mother out from in between floors of our home - all within a couple of hours! The cost was very reasonable for removing the unwanted raccoon family. Derick went above and beyond our expectations and we will gladly refer or call him again if needed (hopefully not :)). Derick, you will be happy to know the mother did return the same afternoon to collect her other two babies. Thank you so much!
