A small electrical component went kaputz on our central vac. My husband took it into this shop and without trying to "up-sell" him - saying that we needed a new motor (or, worse a whole new system) when we didn't - they checked the unit, said that the motor was still in good condition (seeing as the unit is 13 years old we would have belived him if he said otherwise!) and told us that all we needed was a replacement for a burned-out connection.
