My hot water tank was only giving me 5 minutes of hot water. I bought the tank from Hamco and ask them to come by to take a look. The representative came and looked at the tank for 5 minutes. He did not open or touch the tank and said its PROBABLY the dip tube and to replace it for $285.00 then left. He charged $96.01 incl. tax for the 5 minute diagnostic. I asked him to open it and he said the call is for me to just come to the door. I didn't argue any longer. I read on the internet the dip tube part costs $20.00 and its a one hour job. So technically they are charging $350.00 per hr. I called Archie and Son they said $95.00 plus the part cost. Do not go to Hamco for anything.0 of 0 people found this review helpful.
