We are new homeowners and have been in our home for 4 years. This is the first time we have had problems with our furnace. We came to Homestars to find someone. My husband rang 3 or 4 different companies with good ratings, but this one was the one that was most reasonable in price - and most accommodating. My husband spoke to Rob in the morning. As we were both at work Rob said that he would try and talk us through it when we got home from work. If we couldn't fix it over the phone then he would come that same evening to fix it (and the price does not suddenly go up after hours like other companies). All I can say is - WOW! How many companies offer you completely free advice, knowing that if you fix it they won't come out and won't get paid! Well, as it turned out we did need him to come over. He came, quickly diagnosed the problem (and explained to us what was wrong). Unfortunately he didn't have the right part with him - but that same evening he drove to Brampton (from Markham), got the part, and came back. He fixed it efficiently and took the time to explain how the furnace works. We were really happy that we got our heat back so quickly and that we were charged fairly for the time spent on our job.
