First and foremost, I want to say that I absolutely LOVE my fibreglass Viking Pool... But I have to say that the process of having it installed has been nothing short of a nightmare. You could not pay me to use the services of Ashton Pools & Spas again. I would not recommend them to anyone. Find a different dealer even if you have to pay more. Jim Ashton promisses deadlines he knows he won't keep and has nothing to offer but excuse after excuse. Our pool was promised in 2 weeks. It arrived in 8. This proved to be difficult and stressful as we had sub-trades (landscaping, electrical etc) lined up. It took a total of 14, yes fourteen months for him to finish his contract obligations. He does NOT and I repeat, does NOT reply to emails nor does he return phone calls. He and his employees are quick to point the finger in the other direction when they make mistakes. There is no regard whatsoever to a clients property (ie. cutting tree branches that are in the way instead of taking a few steps and going around, draining all the water from the sand filter onto the floor of a completely finished poolhouse instead of hooking up a hose etc...) Jim Ashton is arrogant, full of himself and knows he's the only Viking dealer in the Tri-City area. He doesn't have to work for the sale itself and he makes no effort in keeping his clients satisfied once he's walked away with the deposit. I'd love nothing more than to go into detail of every error (ie. specs, calculations etc...), problems and lack of communication but this is not the place to write a novel. My sole purpose for posting on here is simply to hopefully save someone the stress, headaches and overall horrid experience of dealing with Ahston Pools. If I can save just one person from making this huge mistake that I regretfully did, then it was well worth my time to post on here and relive my nightmare.2 of 3 people found this review helpful.
