Snow removal isn't just about your personal convenience and safety--in many cities and towns, homeowners and landlords are required to clear sidewalks within a certain period of time or face fines. For commercial properties, early and thorough snow plowing and ice removal can be a liability issue. Whatever your motivation, be certain to sign a contract with any service, and be very clear on the terms of the contract (i.e. plow when X inches or cm fall, use salt or sand, etc.).
