Termite inspector showed up on time, was friendly and personable. His inspection seemed a little speedy, but he poked and prodded and commented on some dry rot, and that was about it. No complaints, but I've never had a termite inspection before, so I've got nothing to compare it to.

Ken Arnold was extremely thorough, was excellent at explaining problems in language that we could understand, and even had a sense of humor. It was great working with him, and we'll definitely call him again if we ever buy another property.

This is a local hardware store in downtown Holyoke. It is filled, floor to ceiling with stuff. It can be difficult to find stuff on your own, but the employees are happy to find things for you and make recommendations. They can also order many items that they don't keep in stock.

We called this company when we moved into the house to have the chimney inspected. They promptly returned our call and showed up when they said they would. Inspection was brief, but the inspector was friendly and explained things clearly--he even let me look up the chimney with his tool. Gave us a pricey quote on repairs, but overall a pleasant experience.

Highland Hardware is a locally owned hardware store with lots of items you'll need to fix up your house. A little expensive, but with knowledgeable sales people. You'll need to ask for assistance, but once you do, they are very helpful.
