A review for CoreTemp Heating and Air
as part of a basement reno, i wanted to get rid of the huge water heater. Richard offered good advice and did a great job installing an on demand tankless water system. it's working great and they did superb job on the install. the work was done very neatly and his workers were great. if you are looking into this type of product, Richard is a great resource for information and his guys did a fast install right on budget.0 of 0 people found this review helpful.
A review for Strong Plumbing Co
One part of my basement reno was to put in a bathroom. Valentin at Strong Plumbing did an amazing job. he ripped up the concrete floor and added new plumbing because i wanted to move all the fixtures around from the previous layout. he then worked seamlessly with other contractors to time everything properly and get the job done on my time line. he did the rough in after the flooring was redone, he did the final fixture hook-ups after the walls and tiles were done. he laid all of it out on paper with cost break downs for each stage of the work and there were NO cost increases. everything is great. i couldn't ask for a more responsible, trustworthy person to work with. i'd highly recommend him to anybody looking for a great plumber.0 of 0 people found this review helpful.

I am finishing the basement of my 145 yr. old home. I wanted something that was a simple install and that had the potential of easy repair in case i ever had to dig up the basement for any reason. i have had to twice in 8 yrs. and you know how old houses are. I found Jarret via a homestars search for basement flooring. He came to show me samples and talk about the project in the evening when i could be home. He was thorough, smart and knowledgeable about the job and even had advice on other parts of my reno. The quote was done the next day and was within my budget. the work was very well executed in exactly the time he said it would be. the place was cleaner than when they came in. the flooring looks great and i have already lined them up to do my upstairs bathroom. if you need an interesting floor covering that is flexible and looks great, call Jarret. He'll do a first rate job. one thing i very much appreciated was that if he was even going to be as little as 15 minutes later arriving because of traffic or whatever, he'd call me and let me know. his company is one i can feel good about giving my money to.
Most memorable moment of your install, when I measured the doorway and realized the cement mixer wouldn't fit and we were doing the whole thing by hand! HAHA, you guys were great Paul. We never felt like we were on a jobsite as you made us so welcome, thanks for having us! -Jerret
A review for Direct Energy Home Services
My old furnace broke in the middle of the night. It wasn't too cold out yet but cold enough that it needed immediate fixing. I called them to get a diagnosis. They came and put a 'red tag' on it deeming it unsafe to use and took a part so it couldn't be turned on. I asked when they could deal with it. They said they'd call. 3 days later I get no call. By now my house is very cold (and I have infant twins). I call them to find out what's going on. Someone talks to me on that call. To my surprise, they try selling me a furnace that would have been about middle of the road as far as efficiency goes. They actually told me that I needed to do it right away because by 2010, the government is only going to allow high-efficiency furnaces but if I install that week, I could sneak by with it. I asked why they suggested a furnace that in 3 weeks would be illegal to install because it wouldn't meet government standards for efficiency. They said because it was cheaper. I'm not sure why, but they never even offered the more expensive (more efficient) route. Maybe it's because I look younger or because they have a bunch of them in stock they they desperately need to move before they are garbage. Either way, I am super disappointed in them and never had them complete the job. Though they did charge me $100 to tell me it was broken. Don't waste your time even having them come over. They should take some of the money they use on advertising and put it into better staff. Just a shameful group over there.
Hi, I'm sorry to read of your experience. With regard to your feedback on the furnace that was offered to you - this is concerning, and I would like to follow up with the sales person who spoke with you. I would appreciate more information on this, and can be contacted at the coordinates below. Thanks, Crystal email@example.com
A review for Vibe Electrical Limited
I'm doing a complete reno on my basement. Dan came in, quoted the job in various steps. He has done the first stage of the work. He was great. On time, on budget. Zero hassles. I will never bother using anyone else. I had various people come in and Dan treated my level of knowledge on electrical work with respect and explained everything. I was away the weekend he did the job and all I had to do was leave a key. When I returned home, the work was done and the room looked exactly as I had left it. He's clean and prompt and his employees are as well.0 of 0 people found this review helpful.
