We had a major issue with wasp nests with our house! The front roofline had so many nests that I resorted to using the back door for a while. Green Valley gave us a reasonable quote, showed up on time, and when we discovered a new next in a similar area a few months later, they came back and re-sprayed the area at no extra charge to us. The service and value were both great.

This summer, we had to get several keys cut. I really appreciated the Mission Locksmith was available to cut the entire set of keys while I waited (there were about 7 keys to cut...) All 7 were correctly cut the first time, which was important because they were for a property that is over 4 hours away! In the past, I had a key cut for my house that was not perfect and it always stuck, so I really appreciated the quality work. I thought the price for the plastic key identifiers was a little high, but as they are optional it is not a big deal.

A review for Able Carpet Cleaning Ltd

We had used Able once before with satisfactory results. Unfortunately, the second time around we were not so lucky. The chimney was cleaned, but the cleanout at the base was neglected. The carpets were cleaned but several stains were not addressed, and we were not given an option for additional treatment of the trouble spots. Overall, we felt that the job was not adequately completed.

After the successful installation of our new shower plumbing, we did not hesitate to call Aaron again when our kitchen sink seemed to be making strange sounds, and we decided that while we had him here, we might as well put in a new dual-flush low flow toilet. He immediately knew exactly what was wrong with our kitchen plumbing, it was to do with the way the dishwasher was hooked up. He installed a new fitting that eliminated the noise, and he installed our brand new toilet. Goodbye 1980 purple toilet, hello eco-friendly toilet! Once again, Aaron did a great job and cleaned up after himself. The only improvement he could make would be moving closer to us so he was more readily available when we have plumbing work to be done :)

When we purchased our 30 year old home, we were not shocked to find that we needed to replace the furnace. We were shocked to find that the cold air returns and much of the system was improperly installed. We chose Big Valley because their installer was knowledgeable and was honest with us about the scope of the work that needed to be done and what it would cost. At the end of it all, we had a great Trane furnace installed, cold air returns were fixed, and several joins in the duct system were redone (like the one that ran to nowhere before, and the upstairs living room vent that was not actually connected to duct work before Big Valley came along!) Our bill reflected the estimate and there were no hidden costs. We appreciated the honest and professional service.

After having dealt with Euro-Rite for our kitchen reno 5 years ago, we decided to go back when it was time to renovate our ensuite. It is a strange shape and very small, so we really needed someone creative to help us problem solve and make the most of the space. Once again, we found Euro-Rite to be a helpful and knowledgeable resource with quality materials at a reasonable price.

After hiring a plumber who made a HUGE mess of our bathroom, we were pretty hesitant to hire anyone else. However, a friend from Victoria knew of a plumber who she highly recommended, and who was going to be in our hometown visiting friends. The owner/operator, Aaron, came to our home and really wowed us. He not only fixed the previous plumbing mess, he also recommended a shower head that he knew was of superior quality. He was polite, and in addition to doing a great job he also left our bathroom clean when he left! Thanks Aaron, we would hire you again in a heartbeat!

A review for Rona Home Centre

We had a very dated, stained back deck where we have our bbq. Not exactly inspiring for summer meals! We had no clue what we needed to resurface the deck, and expected a costly task. The lady in the paint department at the Mission Rona not only explained how we could prepare and prime the surface to repaint for a much lower cost, she also gave us advice for choosing a colour. The project turned out really well and our back deck finally looks like a fun place to grill!

Mike was the salesperson we dealt with, and he was extremely knowledgeable. We bought our appliances all together, so Mike offered us a great deal. He gave us great advice about the different brands so we could choose the brands that met our needs the best. Delivery was prompt and the delivery people were friendly and polite. The range of products in store helped us to make an informed decision for each appliance, and Mike did some extra research to help us find the dishwasher we wanted. We had very particular needs and expectations, and each one was met.

A review for Euro-Rite Cabinets

The salespeople at Euro-Rite were extremely knowledgeable about their product and kitchen design. Rick was able to take our room measurements and help us design a functional plan within our budget, as well as heplping us to choose a wood type that suited our style while staying in our budget. We had a couple of concerns with delivery and lacked some support as we did the install ourselves. If you are going to install their product yourself, they are losing business and don't offer a great deal of advice, which is fair. Overall, we were happy with the product and service.
