A review for Cozy World

We were looking to get our furnace and AC replaced before the heat set in this summer. We emailed Boris to get a quote, had a time set within a day. Boris took the time during the estimate to walk thorough what we were looking for, explain our options and provided us with a detailed quote. Once we decided to go with Boris it was only a matter of days before the crew showed up (on time, as promised). The crew was courteous and efficient, laying down floor protection, checking the locations of the new appliances with me, and working to find a better placement out of the AC outside. Our AC has been working wonderfully and more efficiently, and I'm happy we went with Cozy World. I would recommend them to anyone.

A review for B.B.G. Carpentry, Inc.

I was really happy with the work that John did for us. We hired him to re-do our front and back porches on our older home in Greektown. The job required taking down the entire back porch, and most of the front, and was completed earlier this summer in the span of 1.5 weeks. John took the time to discuss what our needs were before any work had progressed, and touched base regularly throughout to update and make any designs tweaks as they came up. We ran into a few unexpected issues (e.g., rotted wood in our rear foundation) that were only visible once work began and John walked us through our options for addressing them before he proceeded. While some of these unforeseen issues added to the cost the final price was still within a comfortable range of the estimate, and the additional costs for the unexpected work were always relayed to me prior to the work being done. I certainly feel that our porch was worth what we paid for it. I can't speak to other types of home renovation, since this was the first job they did for us, but they certainly struck me as competent and knowledgeable. I would certainly consider hiring them again (and already am thinking about it!) for some other projects here. Overall we are thrilled with the result. The craftsmanship is wonderful and we are constantly getting compliments on the work. It really has enhanced the feel of our house and I'm happy we went with BBG.

A review for Wattle & Daub

Just happened to wander past this unassuming store and decided to check it out. Turns out the owner specializes in salvaged wood, retrofitting them as cool display pieces and functional furniture. We were in need of a long coat rack for our front entry, and ended up with a beautiful 7-foot long piece coat rack taken from the crown moulding of an old home. It fits the space perfectly and gives us plenty of coat storage. I'd get here fast as the owner mentioned he will be heading out west soon.

A review for Moss

We had had our eye on a lovely chandelier at Moss for a couple of months, but were hoping the price would go down. After the holidays they reduced the price by $125. Staff helped us package it for transport and all mounting hardware was provided. It looks gorgeous.

I needed to purchase wood for building some shelves in my basement. The staff at the store were very helpful in working with me to determine what the best approach for my project was, got my wood all cut to size, and helped me load into a rental van. Overall, great service.

I was very satisfied with my move from this company. I had signed up for a 3 person move at $110/hour. The day of two staff showed up right on time and immediately informed me that the third mover had called in sick, and that I would be charged the 2 mover rate of $85/hour. The movers, Edwin and Mickey, were very friendly, courteous and efficient. They took care in protecting all of my furniture and worked as quickly as possible without damaging anything. I have no complaints with my experience outside of the missing mover, which was beyond their control. I would recommend Tom Trucker to anyone who is moving within Toronto.
