A review for Clera Windows and Doors by FM Industries

In early August, 2012, we contracted with Ken Chaston of Clera Windows in Belleville to have two porch enclosures installed at our home. We are pleased to say that the final result has completely met our expectations in terms of quality of installation and appearance. It must be noted that the manufacturing of these enclosures was subcontracted to Everlast Aluminum, who took twice as long as promised to produce them, causing undue anxiety to both Clera Windows and ourselves. However, as soon as Clera received the enclosures, their friendly and skilled installers came promptly to put them in, did an expert job, and cleaned up afterwards.

We recently had an interlocking stone driveway, front entrance steps, walkways and garden wall installed by Daimon and Terry, co-owners of Forest Hills Design Group. From the detailed written estimate (complete with photos and references from previous jobs) through a design incorporating both our ideas and theirs, to hands-on construction by the owners themselves (with 2 assistants), Daimon and Terry proved to be knowledgeable, competent and professional in all aspects of interlocking stone installation. They communicated clearly, listened closely to our ideas and answered all questions gladly. They are authorized Unilock contractors, and explained the importance of using proper base materials (which several contractors doing similar work at other homes on our street did not use) and quality stone. The finished result was beautiful! As part of their service, they filled the gardens with topsoil and seeded the lawn where it had been trampled during construction. They even kindly planted a large Japanese maple for us that we would have struggled with. When it came time to settle accounts, there were no surprises. Daimon and Terry honoured their estimate, and quoted reasonable prices as we went along for an additional walkway and 3 pillars that we asked for. Their work is guaranteed for 3 years. Forest Hills Design Group is not a large company; your project won't be done in one day by legions of workers swarming everywhere and making a big mess. But Daimon and Terry do a careful, meticulous job in a most professional, friendly way. We highly recommend them and their exceptional work!

A review for GroutMasters

We have a new home with a large expanse of ceramic tile on the main floor. Company owner and salesperson, Gathan , recommended that the grout be sealed to protect the grout in this high traffic area from dirt, spills and stains, especially in the kitchen. He was very professional and knowledgeable, offered a wide variety of sealer colours to choose from, and quoted a very reasonable price. Soon his brother Carvel and assistant Vianne arrived promptly on schedule to do the cleaning, sealing and colouring. They buffed the tiles when they were finished, and left the area neat and clean and looking fabulous. They even provided a large jug of concentrated floor cleaner that will last us a very long time. I would highly recommend them to anyone who wants to restore or preserve the grout on floors, showers, counters and more.

A review for Cadillac Custom Shutters

Cadillac installed plantation shutters on every window in our new home. From the initial consulation through detailed measuring to careful colour matching with the window trim and timely installation, their personnel did a truly excellent job. Sandy, Schlomo and Stacie and all the other staff make customer satisfaction a high priority we couldn't be more pleased.
