A review for Finer Edge Painting & Improvements

We have used Finer Edge many times ... But this was the first time for a big job. Every time they have done a job for us they have quoted a reasonable (and well explained) price ... And then delivered on price ... On specs ... And on time. Our basement renovation was no exception to that rule. Gord did the quote and explained it well. Vince managed the project and was in often to see how things were going ... And most important of all ... Ben and various helpers did the work. Our basement was taken right down to the studs and built up again. Everything was explained along the way ... No surprises. We changed our mind on a few things and the new ideas were included without a fuss. We have a lovely new basement now ... On budget and on time ... And we are very happy.

A review for City Wide Group Inc

Over the last couple of months we have discovered foundation leaks in two different areas of our house which is about 50 years old. The first time we picked City Wide Group out of the internet. Harry arrived promptly to give us a quote. His crew arrived when promised and did a very thorough job ... on time and on cost. When they were finished they cleaned up and the site looked like nothing had happened there. Harry waited a week before coming back tho collect his payment ... in case there were any issues. When we discovered a second leak on the other side of the house we called CWG again. Chris (Harry's son) came by to quote ... and we had the same excellent experience all over again. They deliver on time and on cost ... and their crews are friendly, hard working and thorough.

We have used Finer Edge a number of times now (in fact we haven't used anyone else for some time). We have found that they listen and offer good suggestions on how to proceed. Their estimates are reasonable for what they deliver. They come when they said they would, finish on time, deliver what they promised and don't exceed the budget. If something isn't just right they come back and fix it ... no questions. Our most recent job was done last year (2009). It included alot of painting and papering and installation of extensive wood flooring. The job was done as described above and we were delighted. Nine months later I drilled through an electric wire buried in a wall they had painted and asked them to come and fix my mistake. Even though the fix was a very small job they took it on ... broke into the wall ... reburied a new cable and properly protected it ... replastered and repainted ... all in one day. They also were very considerate in pricing the job. A quality response from a quality company. We will definitely use them again.
