The apartment can only use engineering floor, so we went shopping for flooring across lower mainland. Ended up picking a dark walnut engineering flooring. 2 mm thick real walnut on top of triple engineered cross plank boards. Happy with the result. Installation needs more work though as floor creeks a bit. Overall we are pretty happy.

A review for Nucasa - The Finishing Touch

Good selection of baseboard and mouldings from Nucasa. Reasonably price as well. I was very specific about the moulding and wanted a minimalism style look with a touch of sophistication. Did not want a flat plank for baseboard. Found what i was looking for there. Will recommend to others.

A review for EMCO Corporation

Went to EMCO and found out they had a show room. The prices are better than any of the local big box stores. Picked up 2x Kohler low flow toilets with Chrome finishes, and 2 sets of bathroom faucets and sinks, plus shower head fixtures. Lots of selections. Great prices on their discount section. Picked up my Kohler sink for less than 100. Worth the drive!

Lighting Warehouse had a huge selection of lights with styles ranging from modern to classic. No pushy sales people. The staff was quick, and price reasonable. I picked 1 glass pendent, and 1 bathroom light fixture, and one ceiling light for under 500. Was very good experience. Highly recommend to visit!

A review for Home Depot - Burnaby

Purchased washer and dryer combo from Maytag during Boxing Week in 2010. Home Depot is good if you know what you are looking for. This is especially true on price. I had done my research online, and I was in and out within 30 minutes. Don't expect too much service or expert knowledge from the staff there. The products were delivered on time and my contractors installed it without any major issues.
