Malcolm did a great job refacing my kitchen. He was professional, on time and a pleasure to deal with. He was never ruffled by any changes I made and was always very accommodating. The result is a beautiful kitchen with a fair price. I would recommend Malcolm to any of my friends!

I chose a quartz product from Quartzforms which is supplied by SSC Countertops. The owner, Chris assured me it is German made and good quality. When the counter went in there was a defect in the stone and the installers didn't even bother installing the entire counter. They brought a replacement counter a few days later and as it turned out this one was defective as well. It had stripes running the width of the counter on one section. Chris proceeded to tell me that it could be "buffed" out with a machine. So they "buffed" my entire counter and took the finish off of it. It now shows finger prints, water marks and stains and constantly looks dirty. After telling Chris I was not prepared to accept the counters that way after paying over $6000 for them he told me and my contractor that we were being too picky. He refused to stand by the Quartzforms product that he carries and tried to pass the buck on to their representative. Long story short, I was left high and dry with a big "too bad". Word of advice, shop somewhere else! In response to you Quinn, you absolutely knew that I was unhappy with your work and you had every opportunity to remedy the situation but refused to. I ended up having to get the counters that you stripped the finish off removed and replaced by another company. Not exactly "over and above industry standards".

We are very happy with the painting. The railings look great. The window headers and footers also look great. Overall we are very pleased with the work and we will definitely call you back for any additional work we have in the future. Thanks so much!

The product range here is fantastic from pieces of original art to posters and photos. This is a place for every budget. The store has the ability to make a poster look like a painting through its mounting and framing service as well.

Abby is as much an artist as a botanist. All the plants she brings to your house are beautifully potted and selected for a specific space. She takes into account not only the room space the plant will be in, but also, how much time and care you are able or willing to devote to your plants.

Meson's specializes in modern European kitchen cabinets. In fact, the cabinets are made in Italy and shipped here. Yes, it usually takes 8-10 weeks to get your cabinets, but that's the case for a lot of local companies too. The variety and quality of the cabinets is excellent. There is an entire wall in the showroom with the different available woods, stains, and other materials for cabinets, such as glass and aluminum. This is a small operation, so one of the things I really like about it is that it's MUCH better priced than its competitors.

Jim is great to work with, as is the rest of his team. It is an honest company and they really care about doing a good job. Regarding "4 stars" for timliness, they are as on-time as is possible, given that the team works with sub-trades, and delays are impossible to predict.

I love this stone place because I can actually pick the exact slab of stone I'm looking for. They have all the pieces lined up and easy to see. They only carry natural stone, but there is a wide variety including, granite, marble, limestone, and basalt. Also, if you don't see the kind you need or want, they can get it for you.

The great thing about this company is the ability to make custom furniture. If you see a chair or table in a magazine you like, bring it in and they will be able to replicate it for you. This is a very busy shop, so timeliness is an issue. But they've expanded their warehouse and they have a really nice showroom now. They'll make any kind of furniture from chairs and dining room tables to upholstered pieces. They also have ready-made furniture available too.

Olympia carries a large selection of tile. It is a well laid out and the tiles are easy to see, but the best part about Olympia is how easy it is to get samples. There are a lot of companies around who don't like to give samples...which can make it difficult to tell how materials will look together in your home, but Olympia is great about giving out samples. I think, sometimes there might be a nominal charge for a sample. I'm not sure.

This store is one-stop shopping for all your contemporary furniture needs. They also have kitchen and bathroom cabinets and accessories but I've never bought them here. Yes, it's a little more expensive than some other stores, but the showroom is great. They do, however, have their own line of furniture called "Bensen" which, because it's locally made is a lot less expensive than the furniture they import from Europe. The quality, workmanship and service is excellent.

Keith is really great to work with. I always get great service when I shop here. There is such a wide variety of carpets as well, from wall to wall, made to measure, area rugs from around the world...you name it. There is a wide range of materials as well from synthetic to silk, so there is a carpet for every price range.

I cannot say enough good things about Rushforth electric! They did all the wiring in the house, and the wiring itself is a sight to behold. They even installed the telephone and cable boxes outside my house, so if there's a problem I don't have to wait around for Bell or Rogers. Great people, great work!
