This is the 2nd time I have used Valentin. An old toilet needed replacing and as per our last experience, he was quick to respond and set up a date. Our bathroom floor was quite old but he made an extra effort to caulk around the base to prevent dirt from getting trapped underneath. Another great experience and we highly recommend him.
Scope and lead pipe replacement estimate
Our water pressure is lousy in our house so a friend recommended Valentin to come give an estimate for a lead pipe replacement. While he was here I decided to take advantage of his deal on scoping the pipes. Valentin encouraged us to come watch and explained everything we needed to know about drainage and water pipes (a steep learning curve for us) but he was extremely patient and friendly and answered all of our dumb questions with a smile. He stayed for over an hour even though we were only paying a small fee for the scope and getting an estimate. I hope he makes better money elsewhere because he really is excellent at his job! I am very pleased that we have found 'our plumber' and will be using Valentin for lead pipe replacement, toilet replacement and any other plumbing issues that come up in the future.
We are new homeowners and were horrified to discover a foundation crack after a rainstorm last fall. Found mud monkeys online and a friend also recommended them. We found them very easy to talk to and they explained that fixing from the outside was the best way. We had to move our A/C which was a pain (had our HVAC guy do it) but the rest of the process went very smoothly. They dug out about 8 feet across and down and put in new weeping tile etc and waterproofed the outside. We also got 2 new window wells out of the process! The inside concrete had also deteriorated and they patched then up very nicely too. It seemed a great mess at the time but the left the place spotless. Most impressive is that they made repeated trips over the winter to top up the dirt so the grading on that side of the house was optimal. Our HVAC guy mucked it up when he was re-installing the A/C a couple of weeks ago but the mud monkeys were happy to come back and fix the grading for us. All in all an excellent experience and based on my interactions with them over the last 6 months I have full confidence that they will honour the waranttee in the future if need be.
I usually use a U-haul so I was abit nervous about cost and reliability when I booked movers. But after researching I decided to go with Energy Crew as they dont have fuel charges and other costs and they start the clock when they arrive so I would have a better estimate of total costs. My estimate was very good (actually 20 bucks over the actual move which was 280 in the end). I really liked the moving guys, Alex and Craig. They arrived on time and were cheerful and fun and treated our things better than we treat them. I even got some free plumbing advice at our new home:) So I was extremely happy in the end and very relieved that it went so well. I would highly recommend them again.
