We live in a rural area and are on well water. I seem to spend money every spring on CLR nad other products to remove the iron stains form the cement around the house and on the steps. The staff at Manotick Home Hardware recommended that we try Grindstone Granite which is a two part roll on paint -like process to make the concrete on the steps look like granite. We were given many tips and assisted with our selection. We are very pleased with the results.

We were redoing the splash wall behind the kitchen sink and were told that if we required only a small number of tiles, ReStore had a wide selection of items that had been donated. We found a colour that matched well with our counter top and the staff at the store helped us find a few accent pieces to intersperse among the lighter tiles. We went back one other time to find some other items and were positively amazed with the daily changes in materials that are available. The prices are very reasonable as well.

When my husband decided to reroof our house on his own, we had to make many decisions and seek expert advice. After researching the type of roof he wanted to put on our house, Terry Ebbers of Ebbers Farm Inc., was recommended as a local distributer and roofing company. Terry gave us many helpful hints, was very forthright about the advantages and disadvantages of each step of the way for a do it your selfer and his cost came in at a lower price than a competitor. The shingles and materials were ordered immediately and delivered within a week. Terry came out to our house himself to look over the job and confirm what needed to be done then came back back with the delivery to ensure we had all we needed.

A review for Bekkers Steam Cleaning

When we moved into our current house we were dismayed with the state of the old carpets. We had to wait a few years to afford hardwood floors so we called a cleaning service. The previous owners had cleaned the carpets, but it was amazing to see the difference that Bekkers made on the old broadloom carpets in the living room and the hallway. There were some very bad stains in one of the bedrooms that they were able to remove and our old sofa was also given a big spruce up. Our house was sparkling and fresh to greet our guests at our new home party.

A friend recommended that I use Malen Framing. They are a little more expensive than some other companies but give excellent service. I have a small photography business and was impressed with the service and quality of work at Malen's. There were many choices of frames, matting, glass selections and processes to use. Mr. Malen stands by his work and gives personal recommendations and advice. There is also a small art gallery inhis shop with a wide variety of prints and paintings at very reasonable prices.

Manotick Tree Movers helped us select a mature tree for our front yard, advising us on the suitablity of several species. Theyinformed us every step of the way about when they would dig the hole and insert the tree and gave us detailed care instructions.

The flowers were excellent quality. The design was also very flexible. Alison was very helpful, courteous. And afterwards there were some flowers and plants I no longer wanted and Alison bought them back or traded them for me. Overall I was very satisfied.
