A review for Halstead Sofa and Mattress Makers
Sleeping on a Halstead mattress used to be a luxury and owning one was a dream. They are extremely expensive and when the time finally came that we could afford a Halstead mattress and that our current aches and pains could justify it, we thought that our dream had been realized. We had good service in the store, but the service seems to have stopped there. Our bed was delayed because our email detailing boxspring measurements was not received "because of problems with their server". When we finally got the bed, it was so uncomfortable that my husband would not sleep in it. A number of phone calls were placed and none were returned. We were freaking out! Finally, a call was answered by store staff and my husband was lectured to about how to tolerate the bed. We ordered both medium and firm inserts, but really can't tell which is which. If they had been up front and admitted that the bed may take up to three weeks to become comfortable, we wouldn't have been so concerned. Seriously, the beds are very expensive and there is a huge expectation. The bed's comfort is improving and we hope that it will soon be the "bed of our dreams". The poor service is what is hurting this company's reputation. We also ordered pillows from them and when we got home from picking up our order, they were missing. It took us to realize the deficiency in our order and our initiative to contact them immediately. Come on people ... just be upfront. Inform us that the pillows are back-ordered. Customers don't like to panic and mistrust you!! We feel EXTREMELY doubtful that they will contact us when the pillows arrive. We will continue to phone with hopes that we will receive expected service and honest answers.

I have gone through all my deliveries for December and am not aware of any concerns and would like to be able to follow up and ensure you are happy and if there is anything more we can do to help.
