We have been lucky to have Valentin as our plumber for the past 9+ years. He is extremely knowledgeable and has helped us solve a wide variety of plumbing issues. So, when our sump pump suddenly stopped working during this pandemic, we knew who to call. Valentin was able to quickly source an upgraded sump pump for us. Professional as ever, he came over equipped with a mask and did the repair while maintaining appropriate physically distancing. He advised us on a rebate program that we qualified for and all the documentation for the installed equipment was given to us in a tidy package at the end. Glad to see that nothing has changed in all these years: his work remains meticulous and he is always a pleasure to deal with. Thanks Valentin!

I am a returning customer and you can read my rave review of Joseph from a couple of years ago below this one. I am pleased to say, nothing has changed since I last worked with Joseph. He remains helpful, creative, efficient and fairly priced. He offers an enormous selection of window treatments and helped me narrow down my choices quickly based on what I wanted to accomplish. This time I needed blinds for 2 bedrooms and a bathroom, including 2 skylight treatments. As a cost-saving measure, and for esthetic reasons, Joseph hand built the rails for an unusually low skylight. With leftover material, he also built light channels to improve the blackout capability of the roller shades he installed in the bedrooms. All 5 window treatments are both beautiful and functional. Thanks again Joseph!

In the past, I have muddled through setting up my home wireless network on my own. I was never certain if I was configuring things in the best possible way, and I didn't know how to fix glitchy performance and wifi "dead zones." When new problems recently arose, I couldn't bear the thought of the hours of effort it would take to try to figure things out again, with no guarantee that I would have a functional network in the end. What a pleasure then, to have an expert like Max offer his services to homeowners like me. He was quick to respond to my initial inquiry with a phone call. Based on that brief discussion, he suggested appropriate hardware for me to purchase. Once here, he was efficient and personable as he worked through the various issues. He diagnosed an unusual problem with my Rogers issued modem/router and was able to work around that problem to configure and connect 2 new routers that now provide coverage throughout my home. He was happy to have me watch and learn (in doing so, I learned about mistakes I had made when I set up the network on my own!) Thanks to Max, I now have a network that is stable and works flawlessly throughout the house and into our backyard. My only regret is that I didn't hire him years ago.

This company absolutely deserves all the positive feedback they have received. Aaron's knowledge of and experience with tankless water heaters is unparalleled in Toronto. I began researching tankless water heaters months ago and appreciated his assessment of my rental tank at that time (no need to replace, but don't buy it out) and his ability to field my tough questions on the reliability of Navien's new line of tankless water heaters. He made no attempt to sell me anything when my rental system was working but he did predict an early failure of my tank. When the tank did fail a few months later, it was obvious to me who I wanted to install a new system. I was grateful that AccuServ was able to respond quickly to my sudden loss of hot water. (Thanks Jake!) The installation of the Navien 240 was perfect, including a new, properly sized gas line (something that many contractors neglect.) Of course, by this point, I knew that the installation was going to be done properly because that is the culture of this company. In the middle of our discussion of tankless systems, Aaron noticed some installation errors in my new furnace done by another company (the furnace was replaced as an emergency over Christmas and we did not have time to research companies.) One of the installation errors led to a red tag which forced the other company to come back to fix it. I have now had Rahul, AccuServ service technician extraordinaire, do maintenance on both of my furnaces and my air conditioner. Rahul is the most thoughtful, detail-oriented and thorough HVAC maintenance provider I have ever had. I am so glad to have (finally) found AccuServ. They are professional, knowledgeable, friendly and fairly priced. I would give them 11/10 if I could.

Joseph Leung of Budget Blind Toronto North is simply amazing. He is a highly competent and knowledgeable engineer who also has a wonderfully creative, get-it-done attitude. I had a design challenge: I wanted the open feeling of a bottom-up blind in a large motorized rollershade. Joseph came up with a solution to bond two different materials together - a mesh-like fabric that is translucent at night for the top half of the shade and a solid material at the bottom for privacy. Although some manufacturers refused to fabricate his design, Joseph was persistent and well-connected and found a manufacturer who would commit to it. Esthetically, I am thrilled at how it turned out and it is performing perfectly. Joseph is also a highly ethical businessman and he is respecful of his customer's need to keep costs reasonable. In total, we did 4 blinds: a large picture window, 2 large glass patio doors and an office window. From choosing the appropriate type of blind for each location, to designing the custom blind described above, to installation, it was an absolute pleasure working with Joseph. Oh, and when a month after installation I couldn't find the charger for the motorized blind, Joseph went out of his way to quickly get me a new one in time for a big family holiday gathering. He is exceptional and I am grateful to have found him.

I found Reach Restoration on Homestars and was impressed by the consistently excellent reviews. Jim and his crew definitely deserve the highest praise. They are professional, knowledgeable, skillful, hardworking and tidy. I especially appreciate Jim's particular expertise in restoration. My late 1800s home's stone and lime-mortar foundation was deteriorating due to the inappropriate use of cement to parge. Jim understood this and his team removed the cement and repointed the foundation. It looks terrific! Jim and his team will be the ones to maintain my foundation and bricks from here on in! Thanks again.

When the subcontractor who did the plumbing on my entire house did not return my phone calls to replace a single bathroom faucet, I turned to Homestars to find a new plumber. My new plumber is Valentin. True to other reviews, he was prompt in returning phone calls and scheduling. He is knowledgeable (20 years experience), good at problem solving and careful with his work. He also took the time to explain to me a design defect in the faucet I had bought and where I need to watch for leaking. An absolute pleasure to work with - I will definitely have him back to replace another faucet and I will recommend him highly to friends.
