A review for Asselin J Roofing Co Ltd

I made a complaint to the BBB which was totally ineffectual. They could not get through to Asselin to even start mediation. I assume they avoided them like they avoided us. What is annoying is that their BBB rating (A+ !!)cannot change if there is no dialogue, which makes me think there is something wrong with the BBB as well. Please make complaints. The process is not all that time consuming. Save other consumers! Thanks!

We had a roof installed. The workers broke a window throwing old roofing down to the ground. Jack (owner) told us to have it repaired and that he would pay us back for it. We got quotes for window repairs, then had the repair done. Of course, we would have prefered if the company dealt with this themselves. When we went to ask to be reimbursed, Jack said that he was not sure they broke the window, that the repair was overpriced and avoided our calls for months saying he was on vacation, relatives died etc... This is frustrating as the terms were agreed upon and we were not trying to get anything out of him that was not routine. We feel he will never own up to the window issue and will not recommend the company to anyone. We feel taken advantage of.
