A review for Clayton's Electric
Two different projects -- one was great, the other just OK. but the one that was really well done (esp. beautiful finishing job on sheetrock) cost us @400 more than quoted! But Andrew and all his crew we met are quite pleasant and easy to have around. Also, good clean up.0 of 0 people found this review helpful.
A review for Toronto Appliance Service Ltd.
Our clothes dryer came with our house and is easily 10-15 years old. But the service man who came was able to fix the main problem, as well as to solve a few minor issues, saving us from having to buy a new machine (and figure out how to get it down the basement!). Very professional and extremely helpful employee. This was over three years ago, and the dryer still works well.0 of 0 people found this review helpful.
A review for Mr. Tankless
This company installed a tankless water heater for us in 2008. We were sold the wrong unit for our house, a unit which also was ineligible for the govt refund, although the company informed us otherwise. We were promised that we could sell our house and convey the contract easily, but that was also a dishonest statement. Nothing this company told us or promised us turned out to be true. When we refinanced our house this year, their financing company required us to pay off the contract in full. In short, our contract with them ended up costing us at least twice what it would have cost to buy a tankless unit at Home Depot and pay someone to install it. The only bright spot in the whole process is that they did a good job with the installation itself.0 of 0 people found this review helpful.
A review for The Tile Store
I spent hours in this store in Jan-Feb 2010,and I was very pleased with the service I received. It was just what I was looking for: when I wanted to be left alone to browse and think, I had plenty of space, and when I had questions, I could always get answers. The tile we bought was high quality but very reasonably priced, and we also liked the installer they recommended.0 of 0 people found this review helpful.
A review for Fairway Kitchens
It may be worthless to write this review, as it seems that Fairway Kitchens has gone out of business (their phone is disconnected and a letter to them was returned), but I want to get this out there in case they show up again. We had them build us a custom bathroom vanity and wall cabinet in early 2007; within 6 months the laminate started peeling off the door and drawer fronts. I took those in once to have them re-laminated but that repair didn't last long. We finally decided to ask for replacements, only to discover they were out of business. I am appalled at the poor quality of the product and wish we had just gone with a non-custom product. They were even recommended by our contractor . . .0 of 0 people found this review helpful.
