I was looking everywhere for something stylish yet comfortable. The specific design was really important to both me and my husband and mobilia had form and function in a lot of their pieces. A friend had recommended this store to me, I had never heard of it before. . The staff were also really helpful and friendly, they explained absolutely every detail from picking the fabric and colour, to finding a sofa for us, and letting us know about delivery. . I would definitely shop there again!

We went to a ton of different store to compare prices and while the prices were about the same Leon's offered the best 'don't pay' deal. Figured, why not just hold off the payments for a little while. The delivery people were exceptional! Super polite, they did the job fast and even took our new fridge down to the curb (we live in a condo and someone else was coming to pick it up). The only thing that kept this from perfect was that I was told that they would call the night before to let us know when it was being delivered and they didn't. I had to call to find out. I think that deliveries might be the responsibility of another store.

We purchased custom Milette doors through a hardware store with the intention of hanging them ourselves. Not only were the doors 4 weeks late but they were not made correctly. It wasn't even as though there were large obvious errors. No, my husband and I spent 3 hours trying to hang one of the doors only to find out there was a small error with the hinges and the door stop which made is impossible to hang the door correctly. The problem was that we had other installations (baseboards and floors) that were dependent on the doors being installed. My husband (who is quite the handy man) figured out a work around, but for the amount we paid for custom doors, this was just unacceptable. Also, in the meantime, one of the door frames had split. We followed the instructions of staining and sealing within a week but the top frame was split. We went back to the hardware store but had to deal directly with Milette from then on out. One of their local reps came out to our place to see the issues. Eventually (i.e. 5 weeks later) they had someone come out to fix the door frame. He did a great job, I am very glad that they didn't charge us extra, but I did have to spend time retaining and sealing the portion that he replaced.

What could this company do to improve their services?
The reason I would not recommend this company is that even though they ended up fixing the problem I was still out a lot of time and money. If the doors were made properly in the first place, I wouldn't have had any issues. They should have gone the extra mile, not only to give me what I paid for, but to compensate me for all the extra trouble there mistakes caused.

I RARELY use a/c...mostly because of how my condo is situated, the temperature is pretty level at all times. Of course, it's the middle of the heat wave in Ontario and I decide to turn on the A/C. We were also going to have a bunch of workers coming in a few days to come and work on our floors and I thought that there was no way they could work in that heat. When I called Boonstra's they came in 24 hours. They were much later than the time frame but at least they came. It was 10:30pm and the guy came. In my experience if a contractor is that behind he calls to reschedule. I live in a condo so the unit is on the roof but we didn't know which one exactly. It was very dark outside but the guy stayed nd tried to figure out which one it was. He wasn't able to (it was waaay too dark) so he promised that they would come first thing in the morning. I said 8am and they were here at 8am. When he got here he spent the time to figure out which unit was ours and ended up fixing the problem right on the spot. He was super nice and very thorough.

What could this company do to improve their services?
The only draw back was the initial fee for coming out. The problem was about a 5 min fix (loose wire) but we spent almost $300 on it. In comparison it would have been 10x to replace the unit but the initial fee for just coming out is a bit high. Still worth it though.
