Our oven had stopped reliably coming to temperature or holding temperature. Peter was able to identify the likely culprit, and came prepared with the right part. He was able to fix it quickly and checked to make sure it worked as expected. Peter arrived within the agreed time window and was very efficient. I'm rolling out a pie crust now to celebrate with quiche.

The new siding, eaves etc look great, and the new window works well. I'm looking forward to some inclement weather so we can see how well the problematic corner functions now. The detail work looks crisp, with nice corners and edges - things I wouldn't have known to ask for, but were done automatically. The crew kept the working area neat & stay at home neighbours had no complaints. Serge communicated well & kept us up to date on timing & the few minor delays due to supplier issues (we chose unpopular colours apparently).

I needed some help moving a couple of heavy chests between floors in the house. Cargo Cabbie came back quickly with a fair quote, the movers were prompt, personable & professional. They took great care to place things down instead of sliding them in and risking the new floors. They made it look easy, but I have moved those chests before - I know they're unwieldy.

Our only bathroom in a century home was the victim of a questionable early 90s reno, and we asked Ashton Renovations to take it back to the studs and create a bathroom that we would be confident in. They also ripped out the original strip flooring upstairs and prepped it for replacement with 3/4" hardwood. The team were professional, dealt well with the various problems that crop up in a century home, and kept our budget in mind. The final product is lovely, and it's great to know that we've dealt with the hidden problems in the floors & walls. Mark is very responsive to emails and phone calls. We will certainly give them a call when we're ready to tackle the kitchen.

The team was great, from sales through to completion. They didn't try to up-sell, answered all our questions (and our neighbour's questions), came on time (actually a few minutes early), and when we had some trouble with the parking on our street, showed a lot of ingenuity to make it work that morning.

Charlie answered my call promptly. He came by on the weekend due to the urgency of the issue and promptly put in a fix to hold us over until we are able to do a complete replacement.

Drainworks responded promptly to our call, identified the core problem (tree roots), and scheduled work so that it wouldn't run over the weekend if additional problems were found. Since of course additional problems were found, this was appreciated. The workers were courteous, put down fabric to protect the floors, and cleaned up after themselves. The reason we docked them a point was because the final camera inspection wasn't done the day they finished the work, it would have been much more convenient than setting up yet another appointment. Also, I would have appreciated seeing the damaged pipe length at the end, to get a sense of what we just spend several thousand trying to fix.
