We hired Oborne to convert a basement apartment to a functional space for our growing family. John impressed us from the beginning with his ideas for the space such as removing the existing washroom rather than revamp it due to its small size and convert the existing kitchen into a washroom/laundry room combo. We were also provided with about 50 references which gave us a solid understanding of Oborne and the quality of their work before making our decision. When it came to the project itself John was very through in his breakdown of the work to be done, timelines and cost to ensure that we were all on the same page throughout the renovation process. We also appreciated the fact that we were provided with a project manager and foreman on site who ensured that the project when smoothly and answered any questions/issues that arose. All of the sub-contractors brought in were also very professional and courteous. You also always wonder what will happen once the work is complete. The other day we contacted John regarding an item a few months after the completion of the project and he was quick to respond to our call and help us determine a solution.

With the coming heat wave (first of the summer) we finally decided that we needed to figure out what was wrong with our air conditioner. It was only our second summer in our house and living near the lake up until this point the breeze had cooled us down at night. A friend told me about homestars and I went on to try and find someone who might be able to help. We were impressed by the reviews that CCM received and decided to give them a call. They returned our call promptly and came over to check it out. They explained that there was a leak in our A/C and the exact process that would need to be done to fix it. They even took the time to explain it to me on the phone as I was still at work. They provided us with a quote and then when they were finished provided us with a detailed account of what they had done and the pricing. They were incredibly polite and well informed which was much appreciated. We would gladly recommend them to our friends.
