Super honest and effective. They moved a piano on the same day, late in the day, for the best price. Very respectful of people and property. I recommend them highly. Beyond moving, they respected the beauty of having a piano. Good guys.

Reasonable price for a bunch of jobs, some quite time consuming . Prick included parts, including a top of the line bathroom fan. Both guys were very respectful and looking to make sure I was happy with the work. They had to do some rewiring through plaster that was not in the expected scope of work (more knob and tube in my walls found), but did not charge for extra work. To run a new outlet to the kitchen, they went through the basement and then up. I will call when I need another job done.

A few small repairs; a surprisingly large bill
I spoke several times to the person who called me and described the job. He confided his 30 years of experience and knowledge. When I asked about the price he said that it would be about 350,and “not a thousand dollars or anything”. Well Guess what the first bill handed to me was? About 980.00 and I had already purchased a part. The person doing the installation reduced it to 745 after I told him of the conversation. He obviously had received no communication from the person I had spoken to. This is no surprise as they had mis-communicated and missed their time to come and do the work twice before showing the third time. My fault for not getting a written quotation first and going on the info shared in the conversation. And my fault for actually paying. I was frustrated with about a 100 other urgent things and not thinking. I was not even given an itemized receipt. The final valve part was mentioned and not tabulated , just that there is a book. Had I thought, 350 meant 350 plus about 600 dollars then I would have worked with someone else or purchased parts myself. I paid, but was not happy. The final cost was still over double what I was expecting to pay. I am yet to speak with the dispatcher, as I have been tending to many things. I look back at the reviews and see similar complaints that were addressed with, “well, that is what we charge” and the same “price list book” and see that my experience was not an exception but rather a practiced process and don't expect much to come from that. I used Homestars to save time and avoid this kind of garbage. My bad, I guess.
Thank you for your review. It sounds like there was some miscommunication. When we give prices over the phone it is just an idea of what we think we will have to do. Only can give an accurate price after seeing the job. We do charge by the task and not by the hour. All our competitors do the same. We try to be reasonably priced. You were given the price according to the work involved. We are sorry for the lack of clarity and we are looking into this situation to prevent any future misunderstandings.
Duct cleaning after construction
At all times, Adel got back to me shortly after any call or email. He came at a time of my convenience and worked for almost 4 hours cleaning our ducts thoroughly. Unfortunately, in one of the ceiling vents in the basement, I forgot that I had stuffed a t-shirt in an elbow out of view above a vent to prevent wasting heat on an area we do not much use. I emailed Adel after the fact and asked if that would be any potential problem. That evening he made another visit, free of charge, to put cameras and take pictures of all of the possible places that the shirt could have gone. All was clean, likely sucked out with his vacuum during the cleaning. I have absolute comfort that there is no problem and got to see all of ducts and the coils to be sure. It took him about an hour to do all this. He even apologized for the miscommunication when it was completely my omission!

Matthew came in a few days after my carpet was reinstalled following a flood and cleaned the carpet up nicely. He also did the stairwell. He left spot cleaning solution. He was more than respectful and will be called again when we have need in the future.

Mark returned my message within an hour of my call and arrived at 7:00 in the evening to put my carpet back down after a flood. This relieved a great deal of stress for us. He took care to do a thorough job. He quoted a range from 260-300 on the phone and charged the bottom price.

Put in an air conditioning unit.
Polite and respectful when on site, but one small issue arose afterward. Dave took great effort to come out and did more than fix the small problem to make sure that I was completely satisfied with the service provided. I would call Dave for future work or recommend him and Reliable to others.
Disorganized. Avoided. No one gives answers and dates are moved around at their convenience. Workers damaged more. Everything has to be watched finitely. 2 week repair reno has been 4 months with issues remaining. Those are not in the claim, so it looks like court next. Just want it done.
