Having discovered termites in my garage, I immediately called Pesticon. Mr. Ahmed came to assess the damage and explained in great detail what his technicians would be doing to get rid of them. I felt he was very thorough and creative in how they would assess the tight property fences and sheds to ensure that all areas would be treated. Pesticon helped me with a problem in the house 2 years ago. I have every confidence that the garage is also in good hands.

It’s been two years since I had RCC install weeping tile around my house. I had to call them in the spring last year to fix some small sink holes that develop over the winter. They had explained that might happen. But again this summer after a particularly heavy rainfall a new sink hole developed and exposed an small area of the membrane that had detached from the foundation around a poorly designed window well. Dan came to assess the situation and promised to have it fixed promptly. Pete came the following week. He fixed the sinkhole and attached the membrane with a good layer of cement. I told him of a hole that had developed at the corner of the house that I had been unable to find someone to fill up with cement and he just mixed up some more and filled that too!! All my dealing with RCC from the supervisor Dan, to the receptionist Mira and the work crews (with a special shoutout to Pete) has been courteous, efficient, professional and ultimately successful. I highly recommend RCC.

Mujo of MST is an excellent tiler. His grout lines are crisp and straight and even. The original bathroom had a horrid short shallow tub. Mujo helped design a walk-in shower to replace it. He arranged a custom shower glass and door. I had an wall mounted toilet installed and a skylight put in. Mujo’s tiling and design help brought all these elements together with his excellent work. I also converted an awkward closet into a laundry nook. My plumber suggested putting a drain on the floor. Mujo tiled the drain area slightly larger than the stacked machines will be. Working with small square tiles he made a water-proof pan to protect the flooring.

I highly recommend this company. They are very knowledgeable, professional and thorough. They made a scary, unpleasant find in my house go away quickly once they were able to access the area. The pest problem was discovered while negotiations over a faulty weeping tile job was being resolved. This took some time and Mr. Waheed, the owner, was kind and reassuring to my plight and worry. I am greatly appreciative of this company’s expertise and sensitivity to pest control and the emotional angst pest discovery can cause a homeowner. Thank you!!!

I joined the Reliance Plumbing Plan last year and have been very happy with the service. I have now had 4 calls to my home and each plumber has been excellent. Andrew was just here to fix the winterize faucet unit that was supposed to withstand winter conditions but didn't (this unit was not installed by Reliance). Luckily the unit only leaked water when the faucet was opened. Andrew quickly capped off the unit and I rescheduled an appointment for the next day to have a new outside faucet located off the furnace room so I could easily have an accessible shut off. Andrew came back and again did an excellent, thoughtful and quick job. Very much appreciated... thanks!! Andrew and Reliance, m

My doing laundry upstairs caused my tenants bathroom in the basement to flood... I called Public Plumbing after a search on the Internet... Mike arrived promptly the next day. Using some very sophisticated machinery and a camera, he was able to see that a section of clay piping had come apart, shifted and was almost completely plugged with tree roots... He was going to have to break through the tile, the concrete, dig out the clay pipe and replace it with a new proper pipe... a crew of 3 men arrived the next day... They started the work immediately, laying down tarps to protect carpets and flooring. Buckets of dirt and tiles were taken out efficiently and carefully. They put in 4" PVC, tying it into the newer renovations, back-filled the dirt and cemented the floor, preparing it for re-tiling... They were careful to make sure the cement was at the right level to accommodate the tile... All in all the work was done thoughtfully and well. I am very happy with the work. Mike cleaned out two drain lines to the street and found covers for the two clean out valves in my lawn. I would definitely recommend Public Plumbing and will call them for any future plumbing needs and renovations.

This week I had the most beautiful glass door installed. It replaces the small older window that looked out at the backyard. Clera Windows and Doors was a pleasure to work with from the beginning... Gene, my initial contact, was knowledgeable and patience with all my questions. Ramesh, the installer came to assess the job as it was going to be a tricky install. The double brick construction of the house was going to have to be cut on both sides and care needed to be taken because the base of the door was going to come close to the brick detail of the basement window below. On the day of the installation, Ramesh and his helper came early, worked hard in very cold weather and stayed late to make sure it was all done right. I had asked Gene that the flashing on the outside be black to match the old windows. Ramesh only had white with him on the day and I said OK that would be fine. At the end of the day Ramesh said it was too dark to finish up and he would have to return to finish... when he did come, he brought black flashing and caulking and finished the door beautifully. My contractor was very impressed with the door and the install and said it really changes the feeling of the house... "Pennies well spent!" was his final comment... Thank you guys for a great, great job and a great, great product...Mary

I took possession of a "handyman special" in TO this past November. At my son's insistence I had the house tested for asbestos/mould before the sale went through and sure enough - there it was- Type 2 asbestos !!.... I got 3 quotes that varied wildly. Having no experience with asbestos/mould, I listened very carefully to the estimators that came through the house. It also had an attic that had no access and was an unknown as to finding more asbestos. David from Templar was knowledgeable about asbestos use and construction in Toronto houses. He was thorough and helpful in pointing out other concerns I might consider before the deal going through. Based on Templar's quote, their experience, David's professionalism being their first point of contact and the HomeStars reviews, I hired them when the house closed. The Templar crew was the first to start. They were awesome! The work they did was messy and hard. They bagged and hulled off all the drywall from the agreed areas. They cleaned up after themselves each night and left the Hepa fan cleaning the air. Here is a list of what they did: (copy and paste from invoice) [Remove all ceiling drywall & suspect asbestos containing drywall compound from entire basement. Remove 4.0 ft X 8.0 ft of drywall / drywall compound on both sides of a wall in basement. Remove 8.0 ft X 8.0 ft of drywall / drywall compound on both sides of a wall in kitchen area. Also remove 2.0 ft of asbestos pipe wrap insulation. Not possible to quote any attic remediation until client has installed an attic hatch. Hepa vacuum during and after process. Entire contained work area will be sprayed with Lockdown after removal. Containment of area: Negative air(-7 Pascals) in all work areas will be created according to Asbestos Reg. 278/05 Type 2. Additional kitchen wall and cabinetry removal.] Excellent company. Excellent work. Great start to my reno. PS: Once hired and an attic access made, Templar inspected the space and found no further asbestos or mould. They did make suggestions to vent it properly.
