Clear Ottawa Windows did an amazing job cleaning the windows. I happened to be home the day they came and saw their meticulous work up close (really really close - they cleaned the exterior of the window in my home office while I was working in it). There was something stuck to the exterior from some roofing work or something and they used a special scraper to take it off without damaging the window. You definitely get what you pay for here. This is a stark contrast to the usual high school students with really long hoses spraying stuff on your windows!! Highly recommend. Also, pleasant to deal with.

Journeyman Carpentry did a spectacular job redoing our closets for our daughters. They built gorgeous shelves as per a designers drawings, always cleaned up after working and did a quality job putting in bifold doors. Daniel was able to work around some idiosynchrasies of our house (uneven flooring, unusual size of closet entrance) and was able to make the final product look like it was original to the house. We will be having them over to do other work in the future. Not the cheapest, but you can count on high quality perfectionistic work done in a timely manner (they got the job done before the arrival of our baby!).

Mark did a great job fixing our toilet, unclogging our sinks and fixing our showers. He also did a beautiful job installing a new faucet. We were surprised at the high price of plumbing in general, but he did a great job. We will have them back for some more work in the future. It was also nice that he checked all of the plumbing in the house and answered all of our questions about plumbing.

Bruce's team did an absolutely superb job at cleaning our windows. I have never seen anything like what they did - they actually scraped dead bugs off the windows using special scrapers and cleaned each and every window until they were spotless. They are a bit pricier than the students that come around wanting to clean your windows, but the difference in work quality, time taken to do the job and their perfectionism is very notable. We will definitely be having them back next year. Thank you Bruce!

Daniel and Spencer both did a fantastic job bringing our railing up to code by adding extra spindles between the existing ones (which were too far apart and a safety hazard little kids). Daniel provided us with an honest and competitive quote and we decided to hire him based on his great expertise in carpentry. We got several quotes from other people, but they seemed less well versed in the trade and we were either a) concerned they would mess up our railing or b) they were much more expensive (for no apparent reason). Though it took a while for Daniel to have time to come (guess he's in very high demand!), he got the job done on schedule and as promised - in a day (a very long one!). The guys did an absolutely fantastic job! The railing looks completely original (we can't tell the spindles he installed from the originals they put back in - which was the whole point) and is sturdy, attractive and safe. When Daniel has some more time available, we'll be having him come back to do more work (cabinetry/built-ins). He does an extremely professional, capable, thoughtful (has good style and design ideas) and meticulous job. While he's not the cheapest on the market (though his price is definitely very competitive), you really get what you pay for with him. Since quality of work was important to us, we felt our house was in very good hands with these guys.

Daniel and his team of painters are just incredible! I called him a week before we moved into our new home and he somehow managed to get the job started on time. His quote was truthful and there were no "surprises" at all, and the painters were clean, respectful, on time and always swept / vacuumed after. We accidentally scratched a wall moving our stuff around, and they fixed (putty and paint) it for free. The color consultant was also a great help. The painters were all very professional and did a superb job with meticulous attention to detail, especially Brian, who did the majority of the job. Thanks guys! We'll be calling you when we want to paint again.

I called this company to figure out why our house was so hot in the summer and see about a new A/C unit. Neil Durling came by and did a very thorough job looking at our system, and recommended very reasonable repairs and fixes (not the most $, but just what was needed). He seems very knowledgeable and was clean, on time, and polite. We learned lots from him! Feddie (home comfort advisor) was also very polite, knowledgeable and seemed very honest about what needs to be done, and what can wait. Getting a quote from another company now too, so will see how they compare, but very pleased so far!
