I have no hesitation in recommending EC Hardwood. Sue came to our home in her off hours to provide a quote at my convenience. She was thorough and offered great suggestions and solid advice. She provided the detailed quote quickly and any changes were made immediately. The installers (Bob and Nathan) showed up on time each day, worked through the day with minimal breaks. They were conscientious, polite and put their hearts into the job. They cleaned up after themselves and packed up the tools each day. They even offered to get me a coffee!! Awesome company that installed awesome floors!! Don't hesitate to contract them, you will be very happy.

Stone-link was recommended to us. We bought over $3000 worth of patio stones and when they were delivered the colour was a very dark grey and we ordered terra BROWN. There isn't any brown in it. We called, cannot return, to bad. After the winter, 8 stones cracked down the centre. Lots of chips off the edges. Stone-link won't replace any of them nor give a discount. Basically the woman said "Too Bad".

The Expert Touch was a HUGE help to me. Felicia is easy to talk with and her suggestions are in keeping with the home style and value. She understands "kid friendly" and working within a budget. Why get overwhelmed with paint colours and decorating when a few hours can make the world of difference. It's simple!!

I have visited Speers Flooring many times for information on hardwood and tile floor materials and installations. Each time the visit was as informative and pleasant as the time before. My tile was installed last week and Brian and his team did a great job. My floors were uneven and lots of cuts with 18x18 tile. The floor looks absolutely wonderful. Not only is the staff knowledgeable but they believe in customer service... even AFTER the job is done. Thank you SO much!

We replaced 3 large front windows in our home last year. They were recommended to us so we decided to try GTA Windows and Doors. They did a good job on the front windows so we decided to have them replaced all existing windows (basement included). Alex Fovich (Salesman) was very professional offered ideas on what windows would work best and gave us sound reasons behind his suggestions. Eugene and Alec arrived each day and began working, rarely taking breaks. Both worked well into the evening. The final day Eugene returned to install the last trim. Because of the crooked walls it took him a long time to install them but they are well done. They cleaned up, used drop clothes and were respectful of our home and children. One window had a problem and a technician returned within the week to fix it. Overall, it was a great experience and I would highly recommend everyone at GTA Windows and Doors.

I purchased 3 appliances (fridge/stove/freezer) from Sears in 2005. To day I have had all 3 services, each needing a new control panel. The technician fixed the refrigerator by reading all the instructions onsite. I waited for over 2.5 months for a part for my stove (over the Xmas holidays). Three technicians came (3 days off work) each saying it was the control panel but the part never got ordered... then a backlog. Now the freezer. I know it's the control panel as the freezer still works but the display doesn't. I called Sears. I was told there would be a $80 charge to come to the house, then the cost of parts and labour. I asked how much the control panel was and I was told they couldn't tell me that. My thinking is the freezer only cost me $500. If the part is more than $200 + $80 + labour...taxes, it might not be worth the call just go and buy a new freezer. She then told me $105. I called 3 times to verify the time of arrival and that they had ordered the display panel. The technician shows up, asks me what the problem is? I said it's the display panel, did you bring the part? He says no, I have to determine if that's the case. He pushes the button on the dead display, opens the door to see that the inside light works and the freezer is running. He says I'll have to order a display panel!!!!! Now he tells me the part will be in Monday (Maybe) and I need to pay him his $80.00. I told him I would pay him when the part came in and the freezer was fixed. He then told me if I didn't pay him he was going to cancel the call. I called Corporate office. Rachel in Parts and Service told me that I needed to pay him regardless if he fixed it or not. I've called someone else who actually was polite and friendly on the phone and she phone me back within minutes telling me the part was on it's way. She even thanked me for my business!!!! I will never purchase anything at Sears again and I will make sure I tell as many people about their very sneaky way of increasing the costs of customer service!!!

We had 3 doors replaced in our home. The sales man Mimmo was helpful and suggested some great products. We were able to have custom colours on the front door as well. The doors arrived on schedule and the three installers did a great job. One of the installers was new and had some trouble installing the lock. We did call them a few months later complaining that the lock was slipping and lose. Mimmo came himself to fix it. We have since replaced the lock (now 2 years old) but still impressed with the service and product. Would still recommend them to friends.

We had our driveway repaved last spring. We were instructed to park the cars in various locations in the driveway to pack down the gravel before paving in 3 weeks. We did as instructed. After the driveway was paved, we were instructed not to park the cars in the same location otherwise it would cause an indentation, especially during the hot summer months. We did as we were told. After the winter we started getting a large crack on the left side of the driveway. I called Peel Region to report it and I was told someone come to see it. That was April 2007. I have called several times since then and keep getting put off. The last call I was told that all repairs are done in November after all regular business is done. Now, I don't get any responses, calls are answered by a Call Centre and no one returns my calls. Our driveway has huge cracks, the pavement is buckling and I have tripped several times where the pavement is heaving. The entire driveway must be redone. Where is Peel Region and their "guarantee" when it's needed?

Company Response

We tried contacting you many times but received no response, we have looked at your driveway and stated to you that this is a sub-grade below the gravel issue. Please realize we did put the proper thickness of asphalt and we compacted it properly like we do to all other 500 driveways we do a year
