Through a referral, we asked Paul Young of Tall Man Construction for a quote to renovate our basement in early 2011. While we were considering his quote, our furnace died - so I called Paul to see if he could help. Within 24 hours, we had a brand new furnace installed. Service like that made our renovation decision easy, so we hired Tall Man Construction to do our basement. Paul was wonderful to work with - knowledgeable, easy going - and his crews paid a lot of attention to detail and quality workmanship. The job started and finished on time as promised. It's been over 2 years since our basement project was completed, and we're as thrilled now as we were then. We would absolutely recommend Tall Man Construction to friends and family. We're saving money now for a main floor renovation and hope to hire Paul/Tall Man Construction again for that project.

We emailed GTA Landscaping in May 2013 for a quote. Unbeknownst to us (because they had too much work?), GTA forwarded our request to StrongBase Interlock & Construction, and we're thrilled they did. Within 48 hours, Biwar Yakoo of StrongBase had contacted us, visited our home to discuss our ideas, made some suggested changes, and returned 2 days later with a reasonable quote. While it's always a good idea to get multiple quotes, we didn't because we felt comfortable working with him right from the first meeting. Biwar and his crew did a spectacular job on our property - attention to detail, great suggestions (Biwar pushed back on a couple of our ideas because he wanted to achieve perfection! He won 1 argument, lost the other :-), and started and finished the job when he said he would. Since then, we've received dozens of compliments from the neighbours about our property. We're very pleased with the work done, and absolutely would recommend StrongBase to family and friends.

We've had a slow chimney leak for 10+ years which 3 other contractors have tried to repair (and for which we paid each time). Unfortunately, Belvedere was no more successful than the previous 3. Belvedere "repaired" the leak and re-plastered the livingroom wall in Summer 2012. Since that time, the plaster has again bubbled all down the wall, meaning the leak is still there. I think Belvedere tried their best to fix this problem once and for all but next time, I'm hiring a roofing company to do the work.

What could this company do to improve their services?
Have employees skilled specifically in roof and shingle repairs.
Any advice to offer fellow homeowners facing a similar project?
Figure out that if a general contractor can't fix a problem the first two times, then hire a company that specializes in that problem.

We hired Belvedere in Aug 2012 to remove our old porch and build a new one, as well as redo the aluminum siding and soffit/fascia around our home. They did a beautiful job, and we're very pleased with the workmanship. Don genuinely cares about his customers' satisfaction, and we're very pleased with our new exterior.
