This company is amazing. Chris is on time, conscientious with his work and patient with all the questions we had. I have hired his company at 4 different places now and really wouldn't consider anyone else. From start to finish the service was excellent. He has an eye for detail in his work and was also excellent in helping us choose colors and materials that look outstanding! I often refer my clients (I am a realtor) to him as well because know they will be treated fairly and get a quality product.

Esdale Lawn Sprinklers telephone number was left by the previous owners for us when we bought our house years ago. I am so glad the previous owners left me the information! Steven has taken care of our system for years and is always courteous and friendly. I think because Steven is the owner and the operator, you get a level of service you won't get from some of the other companies. He does an excellent job and his price is highly competitive. This year, we moved out of our old home and moved into another place with a system as well. Steven will be taking care of this system in addition to my old place, which is now a rental property. I would not hesitate to recommend him.

If you are booking for irrigation winterization, ask about discounts if you buy a spring opening package as well.

I had my job quoted by several different companies as I had no experience with tree service companies in the past. Glenwood's price was not the cheapest (though was the second on my list in that regard). However, what little I could have saved on money going with a competitor, I more than made up in the confidence I had in Glenwood. Steve, the owner, came out to my property and gave me a quote on the four trees on my property that needed removing. I liked him immediately. He was a "straight shooter", explaining the job thoroughly and answering my questions (there were many) very patiently. I should also note that other companies had wanted to remove a portion of my fence to have access to a tree in the back yard, but Steve was able to do this without further disruption to my property. Other companies also didn’t want to give me a properly written contract, but Glenwood gave me a written contract fully detailing the work they were to perform and when they were going to perform it. I had two trees removed in December and two more in January (not the easiest time for them to work given the temperatures we have had this year!) When the day of the work arrived, three young men arrived on the property ON TIME and were extremely courteous and a pleasure to work with. I was especially impressed by the level of communication they had with each other while cutting the trees. This was highly important particularly with one tree, a very tall and diseased Ash tree that had been affected by the Emerald Ash borer. Because the tree was diseased, and because of its size, it could have been a dangerous situation, but they took it down expertly and were very mindful of the safety of each other and of the surrounding houses/my own property. I chose to have them leave this wood on my property because I have a wood burning fireplace I intend to use it in. They took away all the debris that was of a size not useable to me and left the others in sizes easily manageable for me to be able to cut into firewood (just as I had asked). The three other trees that were removed were all dying and leaning pines and despite the mess that can be caused by this many pine needles, the place was raked and tidy when they left, all trunks, branches and debris having been removed. I also had all four of the stumps ground out. Finally, this team is rounded out by the office manager, Lorna, a delightful lady who is extremely professional, knowledgeable and attentive. We had made a last minute decision late on a Friday evening to do the job and she had all insurance certificates, WSIB clearances, etc to me in record speed so I could give authorization of the job allowing scheduling of my project at the beginning of the week. Billing was done speedily and I received my payment receipt via email immediately after payment. I would not hesitate to recommend this company at all and, come spring I intend to hire them to do deep root fertilization on my aging oak trees at my new house in an attempt to keep these glorious trees living as long as possible! Thanks Steve, Lorna and team!

When anyone is working on your property, please be sure to get updated WSIB certificates given to you and insurance certificate showing coverage for all workers on your property. Please note in some industries, such as tree service, the owner themselves if a worker on site is not required to have a certificate...only for the employees. So, if this is important to you, always ask if the owner as a worker has coverage for themselves.

I am thoroughly impressed with the property inspection completed by Tom! We ended up passing on the property BECAUSE Tom found a couple of problems the sellers were unwilling to allow us further engineering consultations on to clear up the seriousness of the problem. Had Tom not brought this issue to our attention, we may have ended up buying a property with a serious foundation problem. We opted for the infrared imaging which was very useful in providing more information about the house as well as air sampling for mold. Tom provided an exhaustive electronic report including comments and photos just a few short hours after our inspection. We had three people plus our realtor there for the appointment, one of which was a non native English speaker. Tom was patient with answering all of our questions and did not proceed to the next step until we understood (and had translated in some instances) the issue we were talking about. I would highly recommend Clearview to anyone needing a house inspection.
