A review for Clarke Basement Systems

This is my second experience with Clarke basements. Last summer, when I thought I had a leak in the basement, I contacted various companies and was given all kinds of different diagnoses. Clarke Basements came along and felt that my patio step wasn't sealed properly then proceeded to TEST out the theory. It proved to be true and Clarke Basements walked out of my house without asking me for a penny. A few months ago, another area of our basement seemed to have sprung a leak and we didn't hesitate. We called Clarke Basements and no other competitor. I was not particularly fond of the rep who came to the house to give us the estimate as he fell off the face of the earth after the first meeting. Anyone after that was great, from the receptionist, to booking, to the guys who came to repair. So today, Fitz Wilks came to my house, where my husband had exposed part of the wall. Upon looking at the source of the leaks, Fitz explained that the work he had to do was significantly less expensive and involved than originally anticipated. He proceeded to explain to me, step by step, what he was going to do, and encouraged me to watch and ask questions as he was working. The work he did was exactly what he explained without any shortcuts. Luckily, this also significantly cut our costs which Fitz disclaimed before undertaking any of his work. Fitz works cleanly and efficiently. Furthermore, once done, he took some extra time to do a walk around my house to help "educate" me on the visual cues for leakage. It is now apparent that more work will have to be done on our basement, but Fitz truthfully prioritized the different areas that needed work, and left my house without pressuring me to book additional work immediately. I know that with both my experiences with Clarke Basements, I will not call anyone else when the time comes to do the additional work, and I would highly recommend the company to any who ask. I felt that Fitz in particular was knowledgeable, informative, efficient. He went the extra mile with me both during my barrage of questions while he was working and by taking the time afterwards to look around my house. Excellent all around.
