With our new home construction we had to outfit 1 kitchen and 5 bathrooms including all faucets, sinks, and shower hardware. The Water Closet isn't a huge store but they do have most lines out for the public to see ranging from less expensive to more expensive. Based on a quote from another company The Water Closet wasn't the cheaper of the two but we knew their reputation based on other jobs we did. All hardware was delivered on time. One of the Moen faucets delivered was incorrect but this was an issue at Moen, not Water Closet. Anyway our contact at Water Closet fixed us right up and we were on our way! I would recommend them to others.

We ordered approximately 6000 square feet of Kentucky Bluegrass sod as part of a new home construction. The driver was a bit late but honestly it didn't really matter as long as the grass was good. A common issue that you see all the time with freshly laid sod is that it turns yellow very quickly despite adequate water, etc. In our case there was absolutely no yellowing of the grass (to our shock as we expected it). Even our neighbours who used our extra rolls found that the grass worked out great. I guess another minor gripe was that the skids remained on the site for about a week before they picked them up (at least I think it was them). Not enough of a pain to dock them marks. We'd have no problem recommending them to friends.

Golden Windows supplied all of the windows for our new custom home build. The windows we decided on were Aluminum clad windows (aluminum outside and wood inside). I did so much research on the type of window to install I'm not sure why I was worried. These windows look fantastic and are virtually maintenance free. Rick guided us through the process of selecting our windows and seeing us through delivery ever step of the way. We always felt like we could call him (and we did often) and he would help us out. The only thing I wish they could have done was taken back two windows in which we mistakenly ordered. It was a $1,200 mistake but I guess these things happen.ALl in all we are very impressed with the windows and we'd have no problem recommending Golden Windows to anyone.

ShowerDoor Company installed frameless glass showerdoors on four bathrooms of our new custom home build. All four bathrooms were done in two days and were very clean installs. The guys were professional and were done in no time. Very satisfied with price and job and would have no problem recommending to friends.

Dominion Drywall did the drywalling and insulation for our custom home. For the most part I am satisfied with the drywalling aside from two rooms in particular on the top floor. Because of the wide separation of the joists we told them to go with thicker sheetrock but they said it wasn't needed. Well in these two rooms you could see that the ceiling wasn't even. We were creative in our solution to fx the issue but it was a headache we didn't need. No issues with the insulation that they provided whatsoever. I would have no problem using them again or recommending Dominion.

We used Custom Home Security based on a recommendation from my sister. We used Andrew for our custom home build and it was a pleasure working with him. Andrew doesn't believe in wasting money so if he can get you the job done for the least amount of money he will do it. He'll also use whatever materials you ask him to so he does believe in the customer is always right approach. Andrew did all the cabling in our house as well as the alarm system and there have been no issues thus far. I will be calling him back to install security cameras in the coming months.

On the recommendation of my father we used AJ Stucco for our new home build. What I liked about them is their no-nonsense approach. They come in, give you a day and timeline as to how long it will take to finish, and bang, it's done. We used them to do our stucco as well as supply/install moulding under the soffets. I know why my dad speaks highly of them and I would have no problem recommending them to anyone.

We have been using Rivalda Ceramic Tile for years. When purchasing tile we always work with the same person who walks the aisles with us and gives us feedback on our choices. The cost is always right so we always return. We have received numerous compliments on our more recent installation. 10 out of 10 for great service and great product.

Traditional Door Design and Millwork provided all the trim and baseboard required for our new home project. Materials were clean, undamaged, and precise meaning that they delivered the exact quantity ordered so that our project was done on time. Speaking of which all materials were delivered on the date and time promised. We have used Traditional Door before and the guy who does our trim swears by them. We were very satisfied with the materials and cost and we would gladly recommend them.

We had Henry from Westway Deck and Fences complete the fencing for our new home. The size of the job was significant as the lots are large in our area and Westway also completed the fencing for our four neighbours (left, right, and backyard neighbours). The job was completed relatively quickly and with very few issues. Henry listened to our requests and offered us suggestions when the need arised. We have had many compliments on our fence and have already recommended them to others. They keep a clean jobsite and tidy up nicely once done. Quick Update: I originally said that no caps were included but when Westway came to pick up payment he brought the caps with them. They were included all along. If we could we'd give Westway a 9.5 out of 10. You'll have no issues with them building your fence (they also do decks but we did not use them for this purpose).

We hired Tailored Living to do all of the organizing for our closets which totaled 2 walk-in closets and 4 reach-in closets. We received quotes from several closet organizer companies and Tailored Living Oakville cam in around the middle. The designed our closets exactly to our specifications and came ot our location several times to meet with us. FOr the most part I am happy the way the closets came out but I can't say that I'm 100% satisfied. For one, they are a bit messy. We had a gash in one of the walls heading upstairs as well as various marks and nicks in the work areas including some floors that were damaged. Also, lots of hand prints on doors, walls, etc. Many of the drawers were misaligned and some instances where handles were loose and coming off. They came in again and fixed these but I am still noticing misaligned drawers and one handle refuses to stay in place. To their credit they supplied additional shelving and a few bars that were beyond what was initially requested so they did make up for it somewhat. It's just that for the cost $9000 we were only $1000 away from another company whose work I've seen before and was mighty impressed. So all in all I'm ok with the service provided but I can't say that I'd use them again on future projects.

We used Joe's Heating to install in-floor heating in a 4,200 square foot house. The reason I mention the square footage is that this was not a small job and Joe finished on time (one of the few contractors that was quick on the job) and on budget. We put in an Hydronic radiant floor system which pumps water from the boiler. We had the entire basement done as well as five bathrooms and the foyer entrance and these are all controlled through wall thermostats. What we liked about Joe the most is that we felt one of the zones wasn't working quite right and he came in four or five times with additional help to determine what the problem was at no additional cost. The system is now working perfectly and we strongly recommend Joe if you are looking to add in-floor heating to your new home (or existing home).

When we set out to buy patio furniture for our new home we had no idea how expensive this stuff was. We visited D.O.T. Furniture on Orfus Road first and liked the selection that was available. We then visited about ten other stores and when we saw how much more expensive everyone else was we returned to D.O.T. Let me preface this by saying that when you purchase patio furniture you get what you pay for. Instead of getting furniture that lasted a season we decided to go with something decent. Gus, who I believe may be the store's manager, showed us around and rather than steer us towards the expensive stuff gave us an honest opinion on the different options. He was also able to have the furniture delivered to us within days by a very professional delivery guy. The furniture is sturdy and with self-leveling legs I doubt we'll ever have a problem. We have received numerous compliments on our dining set and would have no issues returning to this store or recommend it to friends.

I always hesitate writing a glowing review for a company because I'm afraid they'll get busy and I won't be able to get them in when I want. This is the case for FK Painters Crew. We have use Ferit Krasniqi and his team on multiple projects from new home builds to rental properties to touch ups. They come in when they say they are coming and usually finish the job without stopping. They repair damages to drywall so what you get is a solid, professional job. The last job FK Painters did was a 4200 square foot home and, judging by the compliments we get, did an amazing job. They pick up the paint, make recommendations, etc, Obviously we would not hesitate to call Ferit again and will do so for the next project.

Purchase a bed frame and two nightstands (College line). We priced it out at another retailer and GH Johnson was able to beat the price considerably. It was delivered ahead of schedule by three weeks which was unexpected since the last bedroom set I bought there was two weeks late. Delivery guys were outstanding by being quick, courtious, clean, and professional. Again, much better than some other deliveries we have received lately. After reading several reviews the one thing I keep reading over and over is the delivery time. Note that it doesn't matter who you are buying furniture the ability to meet the delivery date promise time is 50/50. I'm not excusing GH Johnson or any other retailers, I'm just speaking from experience that you should note set that delivery date in stone. If they say 6 to 8 weeks expect it in 12 weeks so if it somes on time you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Bought Sheoga hardwood from Brampton Hardwood Flooring after viewing their wide selection and received our purchase early next day. Wrong hardwood issue was resolved quickly by staff. Pricing is also very reasonable compared to other suppliers.
