Anthony and his crew installed new insulation in my home's attic. He was very friendly and personable - a pleasure to deal with! They were done the job quicker than anticipated and tidied up very well after themselves. I'm very happy with having used their services and will absolutely call on them again if I need any roofing done.
My husband and I were looking to update our 1950s kitchen. Our usual contractors were unavailable so we turned to Homestars to find someone new. We had done the IKEA design ourselves and were looking for a contractor to bring it to life. Ariel came to our house to check out the space and get all of the information for an estimate. His estimate was very detailed and quickly delivered. When we decided to go ahead with the reno I was also impressed with the detail of his contract. It showed that he was more organized than contractors we had previously dealt with. Ariel and his team did a full demolition of our existing kitchen. They put down new laminate floors in the kitchen and two adjoining rooms, installed the cabinets, backsplash, range hood & appliances - the works. Ariel was very open to suggestions and changes which was really important to us. You need to feel comfortable to asking questions and we definitely did. We're ecstatic with the finished product and we're loving our new kitchen. I would definitely recommend Ariel and Green Maple Home Renovations - we would certainly use them again.

Replacement of terra cotta pipes due to tree root damage
When we noticed our basement drains backing up and flooding a little we called ExpressRooter as we had used them previously in replacing a toilet stack. During the initial appointment the technician snaked the basement line with a camera and discovered backup due to tree roots growing into the pipes. He was very straight forward with us from the beginning letting us know that the visibility wasn't great and that they wouldn't know how far the damage went without opening the ground. They ended up needing to replace more of the piping than we anticipated, but now that the pipes are all plastic with a lifetime warrantee we never need to worry about roots invading again. It was an unexpected cost that was definitely hard to swallow, but the quick way it was dealt with definitely helped.
The house I bought had old barnyard doors on the garage so I called Adams Door Systems for a quote to install a whole garage door system. They installed a fully automatic door on the front of my single car garage and a manual door on the back of the garage. They had a great selection of window designs to choose from. I went with an art deco inspired rectangular shape in chocolate brown to match the house. The installation was very quick and we have had no problems since. I am very happy with the service and product we received from them and it has really improved the look of my house. We're still getting compliments from the neighbours on it to this day!
