My fiance and i are house hunting and Vahn conducted a very thorough home inspection with us on a property we wanted to buy. The inspection was HIGHLY informative, Vahn is so pleasant to work with and very very knowledgeable. He is thorough and extremely detail oriented and we felt that we were getting the REAL story of what the risks were related to the property were were interested in. He got into the corners, on the roof, outside, inside and in total we spent about 5 hours and felt like we knew every nook and cranny and all the possible areas of weakness during the inspection. He answered all of our novice questions kindly and with detail. I appreciated his written report with pictures and i will be going with Solex Group for all future inspections (as we are still looking for a home).

I went with roadrunners as my usual moving company was not available on the date that i needed them. i was very unimpressed. They sent 2 guys who seemed like they were NOT professional movers - nice guys, but just not organized, energetic or acting like they were on a job!!! my fiance and i had to help move things OUT OF MY APARTMENT and into the hallway as well as from my building foyer and into the truck while these two were doing God knows what. I was so destraught as i probably could have asked friends to move me and it woud have been the same. In addition, i had to pack ALL OF MY CLOTHES into the wardrobe boxes that were given to me. I told the movers that i had a time contstraint at the new place ( had 3 hours heads up to move out of a one bedroom before my booked elevator time at the new condo). At 2.5 hours into the move my couch, most my boxes and the bed were still in my place. The one mover i had asked to speed things up to told me to help with 'the little things'... I tried calling Paul/Brandon to ask for a 3rd guy to be sent at the new location i was moving to, as there was a time limit on the elevator booking and i was afraid we were not going to make it on time. I got a voicemail so i didn't bother. I had to call my brother in law to meet me and my fiance at the new condo, when the movers arrived, so that we could unload and get things upstairs in time for my elevator booking to end and not be bumped. I'm really really sad to say i had a bad move. it probably would have taken 8 - 10 hours at the pace these guys were going, so without the 3 of us (me, my fiance and bro in law) helping it would have been a disaster. like i said, the guys were nice and all but just NOT professional movers. We have a subsequent move (my fiance is leaving his place to move in with me) and i WILL NOT be using RoadRunners. I plan on calling Paul to let him know that i was not pleased with the service. The worst part is, i didn't put up a fuss, i paid, but i just want to say, their service up front in booking you is good and professional, but the actual movers they send are not up to snuff.

The crew present on this move were Kenneth and Raleigh, both of whom are well organized and efficient career movers who are responsible for many of our positive reviews on Homestars

The problems our customer addressed in her review were not a result of unprofessionalism as she described, but Rather a simple scheduling error on her part.

KR in Toronto reserved our services for February 11th, 2012 with a start time of 10:30am. Despite the bad weather Kenneth and Raleigh managed to arrive at her condo promptly at 10:30am ready to work. Unfortunately, KR in Toronto had reserved her elevator from 9 am that morning until 12pm, thus wasting a full 1.5 hours of available elevator time and leaving herself a narrow 1.5 hour window to move out of her condo.

Not an impossible task, but one that requires teamwork from all parties involved. KR's fiance offered a hand to move items to the truck while KR helped with the little things such as packing her clothes in the wardrobe boxes provided.

In spite of the inherent shortcomings of KR's move, it was completed without damage in 5 hours. Hardly worthy of 2 stars.

KR's distress was completely understandable given the situation, but also completely avoidable with better planning.
