A review for Levstein & Stern Plumbing Limited
After having some issues with one of the big plumbing outfits, I decided to give Levstein & Stern a try. I had recently bought my home and knew there were issues related to my kitchen sink. It finally came to a head with a clog I couldn't fix myself. Ari was punctual and professional (and patient with my father-in-law looking over his shoulder). He fixed the clog, corrected the drain piping, and installed a new faucet - all in a timely manner for a fraction of the estimates I got from other plumbing companies. I know I will have more plumbing work as I reno my house and these guys are my new plumbers. Thanks Ari.
Thanks for taking a chance with us theo. I'm glad you are happy with my work. As a smaller company we are more focused on customer satisfaction and reasonable rates. We're not looking for a cash grab, but a life long customer.
A review for Laird & Son Heating & Air Conditioning
I hired Laird after another company shut down my furnace doing a "tune-up" (as described in another review). The gentleman from Laird walked me through a number of options and I decided to buy a new Lennox from them. The sales process was easy with no pressure. They provided me with electric heaters and made a point to have his technicians tear apart my old furnace to see if the other company's claims were true. We tested my old heat exchanger together and their were no problems with it. They also pointed out an issue with my air conditioner installation and fixed it for free. The techicians were fast, clean, and courteous. My new furnace works great. I was happy to give them the business and would do so again.0 of 0 people found this review helpful.
A review for Bosco Home Services
I had an old furnace that worked fine but my wife was pressuring me to get it "tuned up" and cleaned. I was hoping to get another winter or two out of it. Having heard Bosco's commercials I decided to give them a try. The technician showed up and I could tell by his attitude and comments about the furnace that this was not going to go well. He wouldn't tell me anything as he took it apart other than "it's really old", which is the reason I called him in the first place. He worked for about an hour but refused to fill me in on what he was doing as he worked through it. Finally, he came out of the furnace room and told me he would not be putting it back together. He "red tagged" it because he said the heat exchanger was leaking CO2. I asked him to show me but said he could tell by the water leaking from the test he did. I asked him for options for fixing it but said not to worry he already had someone coming over to sell me a new furnace. I kicked him out of my house and called the dispatch and told them not to send their furnace sales guy. The sales guy called me and was very angry that he wouldn't be getting the sale. Based on comments I saw on here, I called another company and had an awesome experience. I made a point of having the new techs tear apart the old furnace so we could see the heat exchanger and there was nothing wrong. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THE SCAMMERS AT BOSCO.
