We purchased new windows and required all casements to be painted. In addition we had some previous work repainted by Ken. What a great painter with superior attention to detail. I provide residential real estate appraisal and look at detail as a result. I would recommend GE Miller services to anyone for paint work.

Installation of hardwood was provided to a high professional detail level and we are very happy with the results. Tearout of old flooring was provided according to the schedule. Cover up of kitchen and garage articles with poly lacked professionalism and an extra 15 minutues on there part would have saved me an hour or two so I would suggest you request a thorough cover up. Overall I would certainly recommend the service but would suggest you request a professional cover up. Following writing my first review the contractor came by our residence. He was truly concerned regarding my previous concern and apologized for the inconvenience. He provided us with a gift certificate for the time invested with our clean up. Very professional of Todd to revisit and talk things over.

$2,500.00

Company Response

Hi Jeff, thanks so much for your feedback on the work we did in your home. I'm happy to hear you were overall content with the installation. I have spent some time thinking about your comments with the dust as this can be a concern for people during renovations. We do try to cover parts of the house when removing linoleum as this can be a very dusty process. Dust gets in the air and on our clothing and it's impossible to eliminate all of it even with covering up. I feel we could have done a better job covering up your cabinets but sometimes with the homeowners using the kitchen during the reno, it's difficult to keep the dust under control. Since we had to cut in your garage due to weather, I apologise if there was more dust than you anticipated. I should have noticed it and spent more time cleaning up. We have vacuums on our saws but they don't always catch everything and your particular species of wood has a fine dust particle as well as the MDF baseboard we cut.

We do hold our cleanliness standards high and I am glad you brought this to my attention. It's always a concern to me to cover personal items in a home due to liability if something were to get damaged or broken. I should have communicated what to expect upfront and allowed you time to remove or cover personal items. I also think we could have done a better job controlling the dust and for this I am sorry. This is an important aspect of the job for me and moving forward I'm looking into better dust control. I do appreciate the constructive feedback and I plan on making it up to you.
Thanks,
Todd
